Wealdstone yesterday announced the signings of Charlee Hughes and Danny Parish from Maldon & Tiptree. 59 goals between the pair last season but it's a big jump for them, stepping up 3 leagues.

Maldon beat Orient and more than held their own against Newport in the FA Cup.

Those are good signings, I was also really impressed by Laste Dombaxe who played holding midfield for them.

I see Aldershot have signed Jamie Sendles-White.

They have a decent centre back there. Crawley offered him a deal but he turned it down. The rumour is he expected a better offer and was shocked when it didn't come.

If he had stayed I wouldn't have complained. He wasn't first choice but he was definitely good enough.

Nice to see we've signed someone that is rated by their former club. Considering last season we only signed National League cast-offs. Another couple of signings like JSW and I might start dreaming of mid-table.

Has he taken a wage cut to join you then?

Don't know the ins and outs of the shots finances but JSW has one of those careers blighted by an injury. Playing well for Swindon in league 1, gets bad injury, contract runs out and has to build up from a lot lower down the pyramid.
Crawley signed him from Torquay(?). It was an opportunity for him to get back into league football but, as I said, the rumour was he cocked up on negotiating with us so I would imagine he had to take an offer sharpish.

Good player though.

Please, please ,please, not another potentially crocked player. We already have a “best customer”discount with a supplier of crutches and painkillers.

We've just signed Scott Rendell.

Is he still any good or is he now way over the hill??

Bit underwhelmed with the signings so far but haven't seen any of them play, we're signing players from this league and below and the general view of their previous clubs is a bit meh. Obviously will judge these guys on what they do for us but nothing about us suggests we'll be challenging so far.

I thought he would get picked up by another National South team, certainly didn't expect a team who will be challenging at the top in the league above to sign him.

I didnt rate him him much & I know I weren't alone in thinking that way........you just need to look on our forum, no one seems at all bothered to see him go.

The signings you've made so far certainly don't suggest that you still have any hope of playing in L2 next season.

You seem to be making the same mistake John Still made here a couple of years ago after we went down in making a high volume of questionable signings early on.

I feel like some forget that there's no transfer window at this level. There's no need to spend the whole budget early.

Thankfully he only left us with a few under contract & at least they seem to be decent for us or have potential.

Luckily all the dreadful signings were only on short contracts.

Past his best but could be decent in the South. Won't get you loads of goals but his link up play is very good.

Thought we would sign Ellul as he's worked with Searle at Braintree. He looks a good signing for you.

27 year old centre half Jack Cawley signed for Wealdstone over the weekend from Concord Rangers. With George McLennan re-signing for the season, that's now 15 players definitely committed for next season with player options on two others.

Signing #2 for Maidenhead is striker Danilo Orsi-Dadomo from Hampton & Richmond. 12 goals in the NL South last season until March.

Shots have signed Joel Nouble. At least he’s not puny, but we said that about Shamir Mullings...

8 goals in 26 games in the NL South last season doesn't suggest he's up to much. He's never scored prolifically above step 3.

6"4 I'm sure I've read before. I know he's impressed other clubs supporters within the Conny Sarf but I honestly can't remember him playing against us in our fixture last November.

Scored against us when at Hungerford, scored against us last season, guaranteed to score against us next season.

We've confirmed the double signing of Connor Jennings from Tranmere and James Jennings from Wrexham this morning.

Delighted with the signing of Connor Jennings who was ace for us on loan a few years ago and has gone on to do great things at Tranmere.

I don't know an awful lot about James Jennings though. Seems to have had a good career at this level and higher.

Looking at our retained list, there's plenty of scope for new signings. Be interesting to see how many we bring in or if we keep a small squad and look to supplement throughout the season with loans etc.

Jim says he wants to start the season with a squad of around 20 senior players - I’m guessing that doesn’t include Curran, Downing and Stephenson so plenty more on the way in.

How long has Connor signed up for? He struggled at L1 level, but could have done a job for us again in L2. Don’t know if our unwillingness to talk new deals at this stage was a factor. A very good signing for Stockport, sorry to see him go and hope it goes well for CJ
