Spain had 2 deaths yesterday - we should at least be aiming for something like that.

I noticed that too, Seems not right with Spain’s reporting at the moment, was 280 off it then dropped to only a handful last couple of days.

Saying lockdowns have been lifted is a bit simplistic. Social distancing rules are still in place in jurisdictions where restrictions have been eased to ensure that there won’t be a second wave.

Don’t disagree with that, slow and steady and we will be on the other side soon. Like I said though it will never be zero figures.

That is true, I just think that this government is treating it as a media presentation issue and not a public health issue and this the way the announcements they are making are not helpful for permanently lowering the infection rate to a minimal level.

And again! It's almost as though they can't think of an actual argument. :ds:

Haha the irony. I did factual points earlier in this thread you responded with daily mail one liner bilge, ignored the points raised and I then flagged and mocked your inability to respond to basic points raised.

Now the daily mail have dumped team "rightside of history" along with the Sunday Times and FT, growing numbers of Tories and even Brexit fan clubbers, it's not looking good for your "rightside". Before we even look at the daily omnishambles of ineptitude and cuntishness. World leaders in shiteness and deaths.
That said, you are a sniveling sop for the neo Tories and as such you are beneath debate now. You deserve ridicule and I will continue to do this.

UK had 359 new deaths from Covid-19 reported in past 24hrs. That’s 35 more deaths than entire EU 27 countries combined.

But you know, right side of history and all that.

Did I read correctly a day or so ago that the NL are still thinking about just promoting 2nd place rather than have the PO's?

Whilst i don't disagree that the number is bad we were about 3 weeks behind mainland Europe for when Covid-19 hit the country hard - It would be interesting to see what the 359 looks like compared to the EU figure of 3 weeks ago - I'd be more worries if we were way higher than the figure at the comparable stage of the outbreak....

depends what day it was as it changes daily.

atm all eyes are on this meeting Monday. I HOPE that what ever the efl desides for League 1 and 2 gives the NL the green light.
With Macc also looking like either going down or pop it could be 2 down and 3 up so thats also a factor.
i still think it will be 2 up but i really cant see playoffs despite it being the fairest way.

The meeting has I think been put back to Tuesday.
If Macclesfield go bust before the EFL AGM then Stevenage would be saved and it would still be effectively 1 down (Macclesfield) and 2 Up.
The only way it could be more than 2 up from the National league is if more than 1 EFL team goes bust or gets expelled and that would have to happen before* (or during) the EFL AGM.
*Unless it's between the EFL and NL AGM's and the EFL can hold an EGM bringing up a 3rd team - but that's very very unlikely as they wouldn't have time to arrange a EGM which (as with Bury) is needed to ratify the change.

And again. Just can't help himself look, it's in their DNA- they thrive on anger and hate while pretending to stand on the moral high ground. This is why The Left, across the world, is dying, all the decent people are Walking Away, in their millions and is why what was once a Red Wall is now a Blue Wall. Thanks for your help and your perfect illustrations of the problem.

Oh by the way, I'm inviting you to #ClapForCummings this evening with me, I know you'll agree with me that he's worked very hard to protect us and has been through a tough time lately.

If the EFL decide on Tuesday not to relegate the Chavs, then my suggestion would be to have play-off with the top 8 clubs. The reason for this is that Barrow, although top have not won the League and could easily be cought within a couple of games. At the other end, Barnet would jump above Stockport into 7th but it would still allow for Stockport to take part in the play off's. The games could be played at St Georges Park because they will have the facilities and infrastructure, and it is quite central to most clubs. With coaches not allowed to convey people, everyone will be in their own cars so parking will be easier there. Play 1v8 2v7 on Saturday and 3v6 4v5 on Sunday, with the 2 semis on Wednesday and final on either the following Saturday or Sunday. All done and dusted in a week and the majority of clubs (probably not Barrow)catered for and satisfied with the conclusion.

Absolute nonsense. If Barrow can still be caught at the top, any of the teams in the play-off positions can still be caught by those outside the play-offs. You can't pick and choose to suit.

Pretty much, there are three or four teams lined up outside the playoffs a win away from getting back in.

Two and a half months later and we're no further forward, talk of playoffs now is just ridiculous, they should've stamped out the notion of them weeks ago instead of asking for and being granted a season extension giving fans and clubs this glimmer of false hope that they're gonna happen, instead they're waiting like an obedient dog to be fed the scraps from the EFL's meeting tomorrow.

100%. Even in a completed season the current play off structure isn't the best anyway with 6 teams in them. I've always found it odd that within a two up two down system, 7th place having potentially finished 25 points behind the top two still has a viable chance of promotion. Extending them even further would be ludicrous.

Fixed it for you.....
Whilst i hope it's all sorted Tuesday I have a feeling that Stevenage proposal will be a close vote - I hope i'm wrong though.
If there is a firm decision though it wouldn't surprise me if the EFL say to the NL something along the lines of "We will invite Barrow to take Bury's place whatever happens" - thus forcing the NL's hand a bit - and stopping the Dover Chairman's wrecking Null and Void ideas. As for the play off's happening - well if it is confirmed as only 1 up then obviously they won't happen - but if it's 2 up i think there's still more chance of Stocky, B2TF and HG Yellow&Black having a 3 way than play off's taking place.....

Not as nonsense as promoting Barrow when they haven't won anything, and if season continued or all in play offs, very unlikely to succeed.

What would or could have happened to Barrow or any other club is all "IF's, BUT's and MAYBE's" - but what isn't a maybe is that PPG is specifically mentioned in the NL rules and regulations as has been posted in this thread and others before....

I assumed Barnet would be strong advocates for Null and Void to ensure their safety from relegation for another year.
Under PPG we would be in the play offs, but i would rather it go to Stockport as they deserve it more for winning more points on the pitch from games actually played. Had our Chairman not sacked a groundsman, then we wouldn't of had a drainage outlet bricked up, and not had all those games called off. Perhaps then on merit, we might have finished higher. Who knows.
