If you are loosing 1/2 million a year, obviously you are not living within your means and spending money you haven't got. On that basis, you should be thrown out of any play off's and your place given to Wrexham to give them a chance to get back into the FL.

Please don't include me in this. The club has been like this for nearly ten years. Big losses every year. And you get the press acting like the weavers have done wonders.....nah they have incurred debt that no one will pick up when they begger off back to South Yorkshire.

I am appalled at the losses and the associated arrogance of the owner towards its fans over a number of years. Thankfully for the club there has been a line of bandwagon jumpers who don't care to think too much about how the club is funded......like clapping for carers and making a big deal of it at the same time that the clubs acts as a vehicle for a profitable company to contribute less tax to said carers.

It's not non league and not the club I watched many years back.

Why are they so slow at these things? They should have already had the outcome ready based on the relevant outcomes by the FL. Outdoor events might be allowed considering zoos are now opening, we could get a new season come Late August or am I just too optimistic.

Why does Halifax's ground get special treatment?

Spot on. I thought the national league would have announced what's going on by now. Are we getting relegated or not? Get on with it

To be fair I think a lot of clubs will have wanted to see what the EFL were doing before making their own minds up.

So... who votes on it!?! Is it only the teams in the play-off places?

That seems to be the suggestion from those tweets, but if you vote no and it gets voted through then you aren’t allowed to play? That presumably means that Harrogate can’t risk voting no.

Is McCallum still at Barnet? If he is and if play offs go ahead and if we finish 7th on PPG, bring it on!

Promotion almost sounds too easy...

I think he's probably just got the wrong end of the stick. Surely the vote is just for what the clubs prefer to happen (auto promotion or relegation) - not if they want to be included in the play-offs or not. It doesn't make any sense.

It makes sense if they’re only polling the clubs in the play-off positions, I guess. Not if everyone gets a vote.

It also says the full league (north) will vote on it,can not see how any clubs can pay for this.Brackley have released a lot of players,Chester top striker left this week and signed for Gloucester and another player gone.Gateshead not got a pot to piss in.we have kept full squad on in case of play offs.

I think you're right. I think this this Talksport guy is just relaying what the Kings Lynn chairman said in his podcast, and I'm pretty sure he did get the wrong end of the stick. It would just be a farcical situation if true.

Obviously hoping we get promoted, but a small part of me would find it absolutely hilarious if we missed out on promotion by voting ourselves out of the play-offs despite being top of the league when the season was halted. It would certainly be my preferred method of staying down if I had to choose- much greater comedy value than another drab 1-0 home defeat to Altrincham.

What, so he reckons that if any four random teams vote for the play-offs, they get to crack on and have a go? That would be... baffling.

If £60k is the cost then we're probably looking at playoffs in the NL and auto promotion in the N/S.
The idea of play offs in the North & South going a head at this late stage is ridiculous. Just promote the top 2 in each league and be done with it.

I just want them to hurry up and confirm the final table so hopefully my bet on Havant finishing top 3 pays out.

It doesn't make sense on any level. Surely the options open to York are to vote:

Yes (we do want play-offs to be held) or No (we want automatic promotion)

So of course they would say no. You can't just deny them a place in the play-offs because they prefer to end the season with automatic promotion.

Promoting the top two is also pretty ridiculous. King's Lynn were falling to pieces before the end of the season and 2nd place earns you a playoff place - nothing more. I could live with a playoff between King's Lynn and York if there were 1 promotion spot, but out of order to simply promote the top two

I know it's in the rules that promotion from NL to EFL can be top 2 under the current rules and regs - so i'm assuming NLN to NL could be the same.

How do you know Brackley have released a lot of players? I'm not disputing it, I just learn so little about player movements from our own website, that if you've a better source I'd be grateful to have a look at it too.

You can only base the decision on what has happened, not what might have happened. The fact of the matter is, those two sides have been the best so far and there's likely to be two spaces that need filling. There is no fairer way, not even play-offs now at this stage.

Economically is it worth Harrogate getting promoted, given the cost of replacing their pitch coupled with excluding fans for the early stages of next season at least?
I was thinking that. The pitch issue makes it a nightmare time for Harrogate to go up really? With everything going, and if it turns out being a tough season for them, they might end up choosing to change back again if they get relegated?

Won't there be stringent wage caps in L2 soon?
Talks in the next couple of weeks apparently but the PFA will rally against it I suspect. At the minute, the proposals are £2.5m in L1 and £1.5m in L2 but I think that'll go up slightly.

Let's hope your roof turns out better than the one in the FGR away end.
