Gaming nerds have led to our game being moved to Monday.

We were disappointing against Walsall but as Alan Partridge once said "People bounce back". Maddison is having a scan on his ankle today so hopefully it was just a twist and there is no ligament damage.

Team:

Burge

Phillips Ricketts Johnson Stokes

Vincelot Fleck

JOB Lameiras Murphy

Armstrong

Prediction: 3-1 Cov

I think Mowbray will start Swanson, still not convinced Murphy fits into our style of play.

However, if he does decide to start Murphy, we may play a 4-3-3.

Genuinely worried about where our season will go from here now. We will realise how good of a player he is in a few weeks.

Yes, the Arena pepole have really fucked this up. Especially for the away fans!

As for the game, we'll miss Maddison but we can't rely on a 18 year old all the time. Play Lamerias in number 10.

Surely you haven't lost interest already :bg:

I'm up for tonight. Bank holiday so pub for 3pm, should be a decent turn out, a game we should win. What's not be excited about?
Just haven't got the buzz yet! Weather being shite doesn't help.

Got a bad feeling about this one, no idea why but I can see us being frustrated this evening. Also pissed off that I can't go because it was moved and I'm working.

Unfortunate not to win tonight but Bentley is just on another level. That's pretty much all I have to say really. 10 points from 15 is a solid start and it realistically could have been more.

We're still decent going forward, Bentley made 4 or 5 top saves with the one at the end a worldy.

Defensively we're piss poor at the minute and we have a conference level player in goal for us. If you swapped the two keepers around we'd have won the match comfortably.

I missed their goal, what did Burge do wrong?

Thought he was solid for the rest of the game

Good game to be honest. We weren't great first half, but certainly played better in the second half. Referee had a poor game, few strange decisions, and to end the game on a corner was frustrating.

Decent crowd and atmosphere from both sets of supporters too.

Didn't do much wrong, but doesn't give me confidence. Could have done better with the penalty and his distribution was poor.

Defence had a poor night, if we defended like we did in the first two games, Burge in goal isn't a problem.

Solid because he didn't have anything else to do, its not just what he does wrong but he rarely does everything right. Its probably unfair to compare him to Bentley but could you honestly see Burge putting in the performance he did tonight.

Piss poor penalty from Southend parried it into his own net, conceded the header from 4 yards out. Just doesn't give any confidence to the fans or defence, every time the opposition have a shot on target I'm expecting a goal at the moment.

Its pretty easy to say ah well couldn't do too much for the goal/not his fault, but keepers every week at this level are excelling themselves saving shots which look certain goals and stopping goals when they have no right to, he's doing the routine stuff ok and handling looks decent which you would expect from any academy goalkeeper in professional football but I'm not seeing him make saves where I'm turning to the person next to me and saying 'that was an excellent/great/good save' or 'he's saved our arse there'. I'm not asking him to save every shot but one every now and then would be nice.

I've been one of his biggest defenders but it definitely needs addressing now.

I think that's a major over-reaction.
