There is a distinct possibility that we'll be in the same division as Barrow next year. We're gravely threatened by relegation (it'll likely go down to the final day) while Barrow are going 'great guns' in the Conference (the best Barrow results of recent weeks have been Fylde's).

So in advance of this possibility...

any Barrow fans on here?

Looking forward to it, should it happen?

How many you think you'll bring to Brunton Park?

There are a few on nonleagueforum.co.uk. And tonnes on that Conference North group on Facebook, should you dare venture on either.

Beware if you go on nonleagueforum.co.uk they don't like newcomers on there, the regulars all just arse kiss each other and if you dare disagree with one of them the other tosspots try and hound you out like a pack of wolves!
(just ask B2TF) ;) ;)

Barrow will probably finish higher and have a bigger budget as well.

Used to be one or two on the old TFF forum, probably a dual case of not migrating with the rest of us, and decreased usage when not in the conference premier. We've slowly been growing our interaction outside the premier, but several key mistakes were made on TFF (i.e. the season when Conference Prem was the main forum, and North, South and other leagues were separated out.

I found it really odd. We went early for a game on the train a few years back. Some parts were genuinely nice and some were pretty bad. Not that you don't get that in any decent sized town, but the differences where much greater over much smaller spaces than anywhere else that I can recall being to.

Yeah I've only been there a couple of times myself because due to its location you'll never go there unless you've reason to, and it takes an age to get to. Although there'll be a bit of rivalry stoked up from having two teams in the same county it's actually quicker to get to Morecambe from Carlisle than it is Barrow.

It is an odd place, I think from having grown up out of nothing around the port in the industrial revolution. There's a Waterstones there, which I was impressed to find, and the shopping area seems nice enough but it's weird how just a few steps off the main shopping streets you're in L.S. Lowry territory. Just odd having housing right in the centre like that.

Having Barrow and Carlisle both come into the Conference would be an absolute nightmare for southern clubs like us!

What about the bit where you bumped 50 off-topic threads during a #meltdown one night?

I did that to try and piss all the boring bastards off.
Havn't been back on off topic since, just stick to the graveyard Conference section.

Mad-Mike and Emlyn Hughes (not the actual person) were the two Barrow supporters who posted on TFF. There was a 3rd poster who joined towards the end of TFF's demise but I can't recall their username.

What was worst for us was the route on the train involved going up to Carlisle, and then back down.

Bring it on I say (if we somehow go up)!

Love the longer journeys I do. Not seen us win at Barrow in my 2 visits there. Drew and beat them in the two times I didn't go! only visit to Carlisle was in the FA Cup when they were in League one. Enjoyed that. Lost the game but played relatively well.
