Can't see a thread on this yet (please merge if I just can't see it...).

Big game for both sides. Luton lost their last game and appear to have become draw specialists so could really do with the three points. We continue to be consistently inconsistent (4 wins, 4 defeats, 2 draws in the last 10) but if we want to push up the table this is the sort of game at home that we'll need to pick up points in.

Our record against the better (and in particular, footballing) sides is pretty decent. We've beaten Burton, Bury and Newport at home and drawn with Shrewsbury and Plymouth out of the current top seven - not played Southend or Luton yet, both of whom we beat away.

I can see goals so 2-2 with 4,690 including 847 away

Akinfenwa will definitely score against our inexperienced (and far less physically imposing) stand-in centre halves. Shame we won;t get the McNulty vs Akinfenwa fun.

Still, looking forward to this as I was one of the lucky few to get tickets. Any pub recommendations Dons fans? My (vague) recollection from our mutual first year in the Conference is that there wasn't a great deal to do in the immediate vicinity of the ground.

I'm guessing that Wilkinson has a 2 game ban as its the 2nd time hes had a professional foul this season?

Pretty disappointed I couldn't get a ticket for this, if anyone could alert me if one becomes available I'd appreciate it (doubtful but worth a shot I guess!)

As for the game, I think we'll lose quite comfortably, couldn't think of a striker id less like to go up against Lacey and Franks than Akinfenwa really.

Hope to see Oduwa back in the starting line up and I think McGeehan is available for this? If so I'd swap him in for Robinson. Perhaps get Gutts in there for Drury to really freshen things up maybe? Don't know, but Still is going to get serious flack if we start negatively again I feel it's already started in some quarters.

Think we'll lose 2-0.

Looking forward to seeing Fraser Franks again, always liked him, and thought he was a bit unlucky to be released after our first season in the league.

Guttridge always seems to do well against us, so wouldn't be surprised to see him on the scoresheet.

Be interesting. Have a funny feeling Lacey will have a blinder. He has a point to prove, got a bit of a roasting from the Manager over making himself available when sick and has a chance to show his mettle with a couple of games under his belt. We need to respond after Mansfield and the recent run and I have a feeling we will.

I hope you are right Belize but he just doesn't have that same aggressive "I'm going to win that header/tackle/ball no matter what" quality that Wilko and McNulty display all the time, which is my main issue with him.

No doubt he has something there and he hasn't played regularly since Brodie injured him so I'm probably being harsh on him. He just seems too nice.

Ive gone from predicting a comfortable defeat to predicting a narrow victory. 0-1 Hatters with McGeehan on the scoresheet, then removing his shirt to reveal a huge "LTFC CAMOOON" tattoo on his chest.

I think Luton might be too good for us, but I've thought that before so I'll go with a exciting 0-0 draw (we win on pens though) and an annoying little man in the middle ruining the game for everyone.

Luton fans, on the subject of pubs I would suggest you go to Kingston and then catch a bus to the game, there's nothing nearby to Kingsmeadow hopefully the situation will improve with a move to a new stadium.

Can't see us losing this game. Can't see us realistically winning it either.
But it's football, and strange things happen.

One more thing... Can the Luton fans resist the urge to rip the head off of our mascot this time. :bye:

Ironic some Wycombe fans suddenly seem to pop up in threads backing/supporting/hoping our opposition win. You better open it up to some other teams too. I'd expect several other teams will catch and overhaul you. Done extremely well to be where you are, but I'm thinking you'll have a real fight to be in the playoffs at the end let alone automatic.

My thoughts exactly.
When we played Wycombe away in the league and lost 2-0, I said to my mates that Wycombe didn't look anything special and wouldn't get automatic promotion. Also hinted that they may struggle to remain in the play-offs.

Seen a lot of opposition fans bemoaning their tactics and the fact they seem to have a lot of 'homer' refs.

"Homer refs"? That's just bad losers. When we were top at christmas i said we wouldn't finish in the top 3 as we have a small squad further depleted by having to sell 2 of our best players this season and another had to retire through injury. After last season i just enjoyed the ride while i was on it. :D

Hits to the defence just keep on coming as Tyler is out today. Justham has looked OK when I've seen him, kicking a bit dodgy, but think that's a big blow for me, could of really used his experience back there with Lacey and Franks.

Yet another injury. Elliot is a more than capable replacement however.

Listening on the radio Guttridge sounding like he is absolutely dominating the game. We've missed him so much this year.

Fuck sake that's a proper gut punch that.

Sounded like a good second half performance but got nothing, very frustrating.

I know it sounds very "woe is us" but things are just not going our way at the moment. Done well to get where we are with injuries and what have you, but just not got the rub of the green at a key point of the season.

Oh well. The Lacey blinder didn't happen. Galling end but some silver linings from the sound of it.

Just cant win promotion with the entire spine of your team out. Weve done well to be this competitive.

On radio just now Still said he wasnt in the right frame of mind to play and wants away to Peterborough hence why he wasn't involved today basically.
This has Peterborough's fingerprints all over it. Unsettle the player, tap him up AGAIN and make him want to leave.

Yeah they've got form.

Disappointed in Cullen really as only last week he was saying he wanted to be here, obviously not the case now. Pretty obviously why we brought Lee in pretty quickly this week.

Quite an entertaining game. You should have had a penalty to be fair when Winfield took down Guttridge and the ref gave it as a dive. I was the opposite end of the pitch, and when I saw the tackle shouted something like "you fucking idiot", only to realise the ref was the actual fucking idiot. Not complaining though about that, he was a shit all round. Bulmans goal was a beauty.

We should have won it by half time. However this would have robbed me of that last minute celebration.
