Assaulted by jaws, you've got to feel for the steward. He's going to get some proper grief from visiting supports if he's still stewarding at Barnet games.

Inflatables are fine, just don't rustle our nets like those thugs at Woking.

To be honest, the stewards are going to have a fantastic time dealing with the travelling Neanderthals from Stevenage, Luton and Rovers. Being hit with inflatables will be the least of their worries when Luton open their penny-purses at the Hive again.

Because we caused such trouble last season for you...

EDIT: I find the story pretty funny though, poor chap being found guilty

Not on the pitch, no. Never got around to saying thanks for that performance :bdick:

Your travelling fans are hardly know as lovely though. Look at the scenes at Braintree...

You said neanderthals, plural. That was one bloke! I'm not defending what he did but to firstly call them 'scenes' and then generalise his actions to a whole fanbase is crazy!

Unless of course you meant a neanderthal each from us, Stevenage and Luton? ;)

Not the first shark that's been spotted in the dock I'd wager.

Anyway Barnet, you can fuck off trying to take our title of worst stewards in the league.
I think our claim is on most overzealous police. It wasn't the steward who dragged this guy out, arrested him and then gave evidence that he had struck a steward in an aggressive manner.

Barnet's stewards have a bit if a reputation, we had problems with them a couple of years ago. Very heavy handed.

Strange thing about this game was the stewards were the complete opposite. Despite the Grimsby fans being extremely drunk and throwing objects on the pitch throughout the game the feedback from a friend in the Grimsby end and on social media was how great the stewards had been. Which is a shame really as it makes this incident all the more disappointing.
Not sure the steward has done a lot wrong either, the police claim to have seen him struck in an aggressive manner and the CPS took the case to court, all the steward has done is given a statement to confirm he was struck and then stood up in court to repeat it. He had no control over the decisions of Police, CPS or magistrate.

Im sorry but if you're a Luton fan then you can't moan about some of you being escorted out of Barnet after your behaviour last time you were there. It was truly some of the most disgraceful scenes I've ever seen at a football match.

Look on the bright side, you only have to have them visit once this season, unless you get them in one of the cups, then like the big boys they are they will get promoted to L1 or if L2 are lucky relegated.:bg:

Codn't believe this story at first. Seemed a bit fishy, perhaps even the stench of corruption. The sole porpoise of stewards is to control the crowds, not to perch on their little seats acting koi while the aways fans have a whale of a time. For tuna tely, because they are minnows, Barnet's plaice is never breamfull: but what if salmon had got hurt or injured? Could have been a complete rout.... No use carping on about it after the event either. We need to hake action straight away. It's time to rays the bar on the standards of football supporters. If people are pissed off, stewards can't just push them with a long pike un tilapia. I'd do it by identifying anyone with a mullet or asking loudly for a cup of char and not let them in in the first place.

The chips are down. We have to act quickly or we'll feel the wrasse of God.

Let's be realistic here, he wasn't charged with assault because he hit the steward a few times with an inflatable. The fact that he was witnessed threatening the steward afterwards would have been the main reason for being arrested.

No Luton fan has moaned about Barnet's stewarding in this thread. A Cambridge fan did.

It's cute how traumatised you were by some people abusing a guy who had just snapped our player's leg in two places though.

Not entirely true, if he didn't provide a statement then there's no victim for common assault. Third party police evidence wouldn't be enough. One of the questions on a police statement is "will the witness be willing to attend court Y/N" they then have to sign it.

I suspect there is more to this than a gentle light hearted tap with an inflatable shark, as funny as that sounds...
