Saw this on the news earlier:

England could play games around the country if Wembley gets an NFL team.
The Football Association is keen to boost revenue, while the NFL would like a team in London.

Would you like to see England playing games around the country instead of just Wembley? Would you welcome an NFL team in London?

I'd like both, Low attendances against San Marino and Norway proves we don't get a sell out every game, play the big ones at Wembley and move the games against smaller teams to grounds like Anfield or Villa park.

Wembley shouldn't have been built in the first place IMO, the money should have been spent on building quality small pitches for youths across every area of England.

That ship has sailed, but I'd definitely like to see the England team tour a bit again,

Couldn't give a flying wotsit about an NFL team, personally.

Wembley is probably the most famous ground in the world, where every team wants to play, it was refurbished for a reason. Would love to see England in person, and having it around the country would make it easier for others too.

As someone who follows England it would be much better and easier for me if we had the odd game up in the North - if the NFL funds the financial gap left by England playing away from London then so be it. Games at Old Trafford, Eithad, Anfield etc would sell out no danger.

A London franchise would be a complete logistical nightmare. The team would have to travel transatlantic for every away game, players coming out of college won't want to live in London for a quarter of the year (unless they are paid significantly more) and the fan base probably wouldn't be sustainable for more than a few seasons. The team would be at a serious disadvantage on almost every level.

The majority of NFL fans in the UK already support a team and generally attend the Wembley games when either their team is playing or if they like the look of the match up. The atmosphere at the current Wembley games is non-existent and it would only get worse if a terrible London start-up franchise (full of overpaid free agents) was playing there every week instead of established (and often quality) teams.

They are desperate to expand their global brand, maybe enough to consider it, but I've got to believe they know it would be a disaster. They would be as useless as the Millennium Dome.

Yes. Would have gone a long way towards creating regional sports academies.

As for NFL...yeah, whatever <lost interest already>
