Anyone got anything planned then? Booked T in the park just now, headliners + Courteeners sold it. Hopefully they can get Circa Waves/The View announced as well.

Reading/Leeds Lineup is pretty mediocre for my tastes, although the Sunday is sublime. Saying that, some top acts in individual genres.

Download for me. Reading looks alright, Saturday especially. Probably won't do any others unless it's a day ticket somewhere.

T in the Park line up is class. Kasabian/Libertines/Noel and the Courteeners is right down my alley, got Ibiza the week after so I'll have to give it a miss.
I'll probably follow Liam and co. around like a little groupie forever now anyway.

Considering booking two more nights after the Courteeners Heaton park gig and staying for Park Life too. All depends on friends' decisions.
The Friday at Leeds fest is the most that appeals to me so might just do the one day this year for £60.

Outlook in September will finish the summer off nicely.

In Thailand so won't be doing any this year which is sad, would of been my 4th year at 2000 trees aswell which has a decent lineup so far. Before Thailand i was going to do Leeds but after seeing the lineup i probably would of sacked it off and gone for T in the park which is incredible. Although T in the park tends to be full of scum.

I've gone off big festivals, same bands on rotation every few years, ridiculously expensive tickets, shit beer and thousands and thousands of bellends to contend with.

Bollocks to that, HevyFest, Temples and Damnation for me this year, plenty of bands I've never seen, tickets 70, 90 and 35 quid respectively, beer I actually want to drink and a significantly reduced bellend quota.

One of the biggest selling artists in the world today
A ridiculous number a crowd pleasing classics
Critically acclaimed
Constantly evolving and progressing as an artist.
Popular both as a mainstream act and with more serious music fans
Still relevant today.

What's strange about it? Is it because he isn't a group of white men playing guitars?

Absolutely amazing choice of headliner I'm even more gutted about not being there than I was for the rolling stones.

So this is exactly the reaction I was alluding to in that last post. This idea that Glastonbury is somehow the preserve of aging white rock bands or identikit average indie plodders .

I wish the people who held these opinions could be banned from attending glastonbury as not only does it go against everything the festival is about but they simply dont deserve to attend such a wonderfully diverse event. Fuck off to Reading or V instead please.

Kanye is indeed a wanker but if you're basing it purely on music then I don't see why anyone would kick up a fuss about him headlining Glasto.

He produces some good music and is a good choice as a headliner. Not for me though and I think he's a c***.

also I don't remember people complaining about Kasabian headlining last year and they're dickheads on a level Kanye could only dream of (fyi Yeezy isn't even close to being a dickhead)

NASS line up so far, still a tiny festival but always a few acts to entice people in.

Just bought a No Tomorrow ticket. Not really my scene but will pretty much be the last blowout with my uni mates before we all graduate.

Been to AMP Lost & Found in Malta so far this year (incredible). SF15 in Rotherham at Magna this Sunday (Duke Dumont, Second City, Clean Bandit, Preditah, Tough Love, Philip George, Chris Lorenzo, Jamie Duggan) and Detonate in Notts at the end of May to see Nas and loads of others as well.

Does this forum have a house music thread?

Was at Big Weekend yesterday which sort of counts as a festival, have to say I really enjoyed it as well, moreso than I expected to. Muse were definitely the highlight, one of the two bands I've seen before so I knew what to expect really - still absolutely brilliant though.

David Guetta was the biggest surprise for me, wasn't particularly bothered about seeing him but when he came on he was great, brilliant with the crowd as well. Saw Vaccines, Florence & The Machine, Ben Howard (meh), Charlie XCX (Very meh), Fall Out Boy (Who were surprisingly good) and a bit of Rudimental who I quite like so for a fiver I was a very happy bloke yesterday.
