I was looking at some of the out of contract players for this summer, some of which could improve most Championship sides.

Bakary Sako- The Wolves wide man signed for Wolves three years ago and really has shone this season, scoring 14 goals while picking up 6 assists along the way.

Adam Federici- The Australian born goalkeeper has been at Reading for ten years, but looks unlikely to sign a new contract. He has so far kept 11 clean sheets this season and will surely be attracting interest from the Championships elite.

Bryan Ruiz- The skillful winger signed for Fulham in 2011, but has only started 22 games this season, scoring four goals and claiming three assists. He was very impressive for Costa Rica in the World Cup and could attract interest from the Championship as well as teams across Europe.

Demarai Gray- After breaking into the starting XI this season, he was being looked at by a number of Premiership clubs. Birmingham managed to keep hold of him during the January window, but he's yet to sign a new contract so will definitely be interesting some big teams.

If you know of any other players that are out of contract this summer, leave their names below. Or if you'd like your team to sign any of these players, comment below.

Emmanuel-Thomas is out of contract, whether he's done enough to attract championship attention I don't know.

We have Adam Federici, Mikkel Andersen, Stephen Kelly, Alex Pearce, Zat Knight, Jure Travner, Danny Guthrie, Jem Karacan and Yakubu out of contract.

So our captain, vice captain and player of the season will likely be available (Karacan, Pearce, Federici). Though can't imagine where they would transfer to, as if they leave they would be looking for good money which Federici aside their performances don't warrant.

Bakary Sako wont move to another Championship side, either Premier League or abroad.

Also Leon Clarke will be available, but he'll probably end up at Derby

If i'm right, Ben Pringle is also out of contract. He tore City apart, but then again, anybody with a bit of creativity in midfield ran the show against us this season!

Theres a few rumours going around that we are interested again, looking at him as a replacement for Pritch.

Makes sense as he was our back up option last summer.

Javier Garrido is the only major player out of contract for us I think. Becchio still has a year left to go, why Hughton signed him on a 3 and a half year deal only to not play him I'll never know.

As for our own players out of contract, can't think of any that any serious Championship or Top League 1 team would touch with a barge pole. Basically Nick Proschwitz.

Rudy Austin will be available in the summer. It would seem Cellino isn't interested in offering him a new contract.

Criminal.

Shaun Barker - Been confirmed he'll be released, and has been suggested to two clubs. He had a trial with Sheff Utdto gain fitness, so wouldn't be surprised if he ended up there. A real shame, would have loved to see him play again for us. Won't even be seeing him make a final cameo. :(
John Eustace - Been injured for a while unfortunately, and been vital for us. But he's 35 now. Would be amazed if we gace him another year.
Zak Whitbread - We have the option of extending it by a year, but he's been a sicknote ever since we signed him so surely not?
Mark O'Brien - Been on loan at Motherwell all season. Never been in McClaren's plans.
Tom Naylor - On loan at Burton. I expect him to go there on a free.
Lee Naylor - He was on the bench at the weekend, so apparently he's still around...

I am sure Demarai Gray still has another year left, or at least we have a year's option on him.

Based on his previous Championship experience, I doubt it.

Was he played as a striker or out wide for you?
22 in 77 games (according to wikipedia... great source I know) and a good few would be sub appearances. You never know.

Wide usually, mostly standing around doing not a lot.

Wouldn't play him out wide, definitely a striker or in the hole.

I'd like to have JET at Wolves. Think he could do well with Afobe up front, especially since they both played in the academy at Arsenal together.

To be fair though, most teams tore you apart. Apart from Blackpool.

Agree. Was thinking that myself. I can see Dicko moving on this summer. I think he didn't like his 'focal point' role usurped by Beefi Knoba, and the look on his face when he was subbed in some games gave it away. He really shouldn't go near a poker table.

Personally, I reckon a Doyle-Afobe partnership might have delivered more.

JET would almost be a direct replacement for Sako.

Plays behind the striker, technically gifted and a goalscorer.

Could imagine JET going to Wolves - and the two times he's played against you for us he's caused your defence all sorts of problems.

Perhaps the best free transfer of all available this summer will be Warburton.

Can think of a lot of clubs fighting over his services.

Wanted Leicester to try and get him when you went down to league one.
