Good morning one all and welcome to the Good Guy List, the counterpoint to my dear friend Aber Gas' superbly run, 'Cunt List'. Whereas said list was an chance to vent, I see this competition as a little different. A time to give thanks to the individuals that make this community one of the best of its type. A vibrant, fair community, maybe one requiring a pair of fresh eyes on the moderation team, but one I am proud to be a part of. People have voted with their hearts, with their brains, and, ultimately, with their fingers. We have funny people appear on the list, those that made us laugh until we cried! We have interesting people on the list, the ones that made us think. We have purveyors of sights and sounds galore! We also have smat. We have animals appear. We have a deceased member or two appear. We also have people who have never been on this forum and some who I'm pretty sure are just a random collection of letters. But after all, is that not what all names are?

A little bit regarding my system because people have been crying 'fix' before I even started. I have been awarding 10 points for first place, 9 points for second, 8 points for third and so on. When the list has a number greater than 10 but easily divisible by 10 I have just divided it up points wise. Any over that I have been giving the remainders 1 point a piece. Between 11 and 19 I try and divide up as best I can, giving the remainders 1 a piece. For the rare and unhelpful 'unordered' list, I have given everyone in said list the same points total, said total depending on 'eyeballing' the list, to give a fair and representative outcome.

I will be presenting one position a day. Take note that in the early stages this could be up to 5 people in one go as there are a lot of joint-positions early on. If anyone has any comments they wish to add about someone please pm me, otherwise I will be relying on my crack-team of ghostwriters to help with the introduction. The list should be appearing today, ultimately however we are waiting for poster 'Look Out There Are Llamas' to send his list in, once he has though we can begin!

Could we also get an 'awwww' for our dear friend, Eric, who has had a busy weekend and unfortunately will not be joining us today.

We haven't all got the time to waste our weekends on an Internet forum asking complete strangers to rank other complete strangers for no reason x

I hope you fill the clearly massive void in your life by pleasing a bunch of Internet football fans

Gentlemen. You can't fight in here. This is the War Room!

Ok so since it looks like this place might implode with happy vibes I will be starting without Look Out There Are Llamas. I'm not happy though. Memes and insults is not the direction I wanted to see this thread go. Think happy vibes

I have submitted a list. It was a rushed list as Ian didn't tell me about this before about an hour ago, there is also no actual list of members so if you haven't posted in the last day, tough cookies. So I obviously have a million glaring omissions. Bite me.

Edit: I've already thought of one straight away who massively should be on there. Sad times.

54. GTFCfish and eightiesrobin

Coming in joint 54th place with two points a piece we have two posters I admit I have not come across before. They responded to my pm though in a polite and dignified manner, something other people I shall not name could learn from. Both solid gentlemen by all accounts, although I have heard an unsettling rumour that GTFCfish is actually banned member GTFC1979. He has however staunchly denied this, despite pretty much the entire non-league forum thinking otherwise. My crack team of research assistants have also recently revealed to me that eightiesrobin once played cricket against former Crewe loan midfielder George Evans (now of Reading). Rubbing shoulders with the stars that one.

53. Super_horns

Super_horns? What do we really know about him? Is he super? Horny? What we do know is a bit of a mixed bag. We know he's a moderator, so deserving of our respect, admiration, and undying loyalty. We know he got 3 points, so is objectively speaking a better man than the previous posters. He's also a Watford fan I think. Aside from that his record is suspiciously clean. My research unit will be digging up dirt this afternoon around who (or what?) Super_horns really is and what his deal is. I'll leave with the factoid that Super_horns did pm me a list without any fuss, a nice touch, from a nice man.

Addendum: Maybe not so nice, if this story is to be believed
when we were on holiday together i asked super horns to hold my baby while i got my camera out and he dropped the baby into a ravine, I've been a little miffed with him ever since

52. Jemfy, Smudge and Benito

An interesting trifecta these three, 5 points each. What links them I'm not at liberty to reveal, but all three are fine, fine folk. Smudge is a top northern lass who knows more about football than anyone else and is (or was, I dunno I'm out of touch) a David Moyes fan who I am also a big fan of, so is alright in my book. Benito is an interesting fella, me and him used to be proper tight. We played Red Dead Revolution together and maybe FIFA a few times. Back on TFF at one point admin were considering banning him and I spoke up to defend him in a discussion in the member's forum. He put me below Alty in his list, however, so I'd say our friendship is on the rocks if not critical. Jemfy I have had no run ins with unfortunately, as I always like to make new friends. Embarrassingly I have nothing to say so if someone wants to send in a suggestion to my team I'll add it here.

Addendum: Jemfy has an encyclopedic knowledge of non-league. Not quite as useful as encyclopedic knowledge of tropical diseases but still, pretty kewl.

For a thread that should be so positive, there is already a large build up of animosity. I think everyone needs to calm the fuck down to be honest

Thank you, Steven. And we proceed. Avanti!

51. SUTSS and Jarvis

Upon a great deal of research I can reveal that SUTSS is a fan of seminal TV series 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'. As am I. I'm less a fan of people not responding to polite PMs, but I'm sure once I got over that me and SUTSS would get on like a house on fire. Jarvis is a member I'm a big fan of, though I don't think he's ever been on this forum. He's from TFF. Big metal fan, long black hair and Viking beard. Me and him used to play Red Dead Redemption together and used to light dynamite and ride horses at people shouting 'Allahu Akbar' down the mics. A simpler time. Both finished on 6 points.

Addendum: My research team has let me know through a little mic in my ear that SUTSS once won a Pride of Britain award. My word.

Addendum: Apparently Jarvis is a member on here after all. The mention function doesn't work with him and he's really hard to search for though so there's something hinky going on.

I'll try and lighten the mood with a joke.

A dyslexic man walks into a bra.

If that doesn't work I don't know what will.

I nominated Jemfy in recognition of his encyclopedic knowledge of non-league.
