Anybody been watching this? I caught up on the first two last night and I'm hooked. I love the idea of 'normal' people going on the run as fugatives and being hunted down by the state. I'd love to have a go. Some of them are complete idiots though.

It's brilliant. Watched the first one on 4OD and then caught the 2nd the other night. The people who call home really piss me off. Why sign up to do something like that if you can barely go a day without checking on a loved one.

The Doctor has been the best one by far so far. He had a fortunate start but has put himself into the mind of the police and outmanoevred them completely so far.

The ATM issue annoys me as well. Just withdraw it all as you're leaving and carry cash for the next 28 days. Makes much more sense than going 10 days off the radar just to bring yourself back on it by withdrawing £100.

My personal plan if I were to do this show would be to disappear initially and after a few days actually come back to my home town and stay with a friend. Not a friend who's going to be massively on the radar and subject to personal checks but someone who it can be agreed with word of mouth with no paper trail. Just hide out in their house for a few weeks.

I'm with you on the phoning home and the cash machines. It's just common sense. I love the idea of hiding in plain sight and just blending in with the crowds. I'd go to a crowded place like a football match.

Now you've both posted online what you'd do I reckon you would both get caught quickly.

It's a good show though and better than I thought it would be. Will have to try to remember to watch it this week.

I find it interesting how almost all of them head North.

I wouldn't have posted online if I planned to take part in something like that. If I ever do, I'll remember not to do that...........or will I.....?

I think the first signs of complacency are setting in with the GP.

Hope he pulls it off, but I'm not so sure.

Does seem to think he's got it cracked. Dangerous game indeed.

I loved the 2 Asian dudes who sent the hunters on a false trial in completely the opposite direction. This show is a bit limited in the sense that the hunters only have limited resources and man power. It seems pretty easy to hide out in this show. Withdraw all your money at the beginning, don't make any calls and you should last the 4 weeks.

Seems pretty simple to make things easier for yourself as well. With their limited resources, as soon as you're off the radar, you could return home to get washed, get a change of clothes, pick up some extra money etc.

The show is designed to show us that we need the 'state' monitoring our every move to keep us safe. What it's showing me instead is that they aren't very good at tracking criminals and hunting them down.

I wouldn't read much into this show. If this was real life, they would have more manpower and resources to track people down. They would be able to task police forces, helicopters etc.

Disappointed Ricky Allen got caught. Let himself get spooked and his cockiness by constantly ringing friends was his undoing.

Funny to watch the 2 girls get so paranoid when the hunters haven't got a clue where they are. To be fair though, I would be the same, thinking they are waiting for me all the time.

Going to be interesting to see if anyone can last the 4 weeks.

This, although it would make terrible TV if they all just hid in their mates houses.

Gutted Ricky Allen got caught though, definitely got complacent towards the end. Was hoping the programme had been edited to make it look like they were about to catch him at Euston but he'd actually got off at the stop before

This.
Watched all 3 episodes this week and while it started off al right its just got very false lately, one minute they have real time car reg tracking and CCTV, next minute they have disappeared of the radar until they use an ATM or make a phone call again. There's bloody hundreds of cameras and tracking devices around in urban areas and along main roads.

If it was real I'd like to think the state has the use of CCTV and other tracking including location of phones all in real time and can basically follow people everywhere with the exception of in the middle of nowhere. As soon as they are spotted somebody will be on them within minutes not just missing them by minutes (hours) as the case in this. If this isn't the case and the state doesn't have access to this then we are pretty fucked.
Like they got Ricky with the friends car registration when he withdrew money a few days back and had the car on CCTV, somebody would have tracked the car to the owners house and be watching it and could have nabbed him before he even left for Glasgow

Best way to escape in this programme is like what the girls did just hitch hike to the middle of nowhere then hike a bit further and camp out for the 28 days. Will win this, but would be false in the real world because a real fugitive needs to survive longer than 28 days.

Last one next week. Enjoyed it but some of it is very fake like Frealaf said. Hoping they do some more programmes like this!

Yeah, I didn't get the point in the whole plane thing. Would have been absolute bullshit if that one woman gave away the location for the other three.

As someone who hasn't seen this, can someone explain to me how these people manage to remain concealed when there's a camera crew following them about?

I often thought that. They regularly pulled up their hoods to avoid being recognised, seemingly forgetting they were being followed by a camera person every minute of the day.

It's coming back for a second series with prize money for those that evade capture. Hoping it doesn't ruin it!
