17.15 kick off live on Sky.

My current bi-polar state over how this season is going to end has gone into over-drive recently with the internationals break and no impending fixture to focus on. And now that's over, we have 2 games in 4 days to get through. First up is Ipswich at Portman Road.

I went up there about this time last season, as both sides' seasons filtered out in midtable. I seem to remember speaking with some Ipswich lads on the train, and they seemed to think that with a few changes and the addition of a goalscorer they would challenge for the playoffs. Well this season they've had Murphy banging them in at one end, and a really organised defence at the other, and here they are with a good chance of being involved in the playoffs.

It's a game I think we go into with some trepidation, as they are the sort of side we'd really struggle against. A lot of imposing physical players and a good set piece record makes them a concern. On the flip side we have bags of pace and that's something that seemed to cause Ipswich a lot of problems in the 2-2 draw at Dean Court in December.

We'll have to see how the loaning in of Kenwyne Jones plays out, whether Howe see's him as a starter or a plan B off the bench. There are big question marks over Wilson's fitness and he may end up missing both Easter games, which would be a big blow. It was Kermorgant and Wilson preferred up front against 'Boro and they did a lot of damage. Kermorgant and Jones would be a radically different partnership. Pitman perhaps?

Going to be a long day. We'll see what the 3pm results are (pub session). We'll see what the result is here. And then attention will turn to Derby v Watford straight after, will try and keep in touch with that as we travel back home.

Hope the M25 isn't too shit on a bank holiday friday. Eekk.

Not looked forward to a game so much as this one for a long time. Would be a huge result for our season if we take 6 points from Watford and B'mouth in consecutive games.

Head however, says a 2-2 repeat.

Is it regular for an Ipswich forum to go through months and months of threads on an up coming opposition sides' (most crazy) forum and pick the most OTT or out of context quotes he can find, and then present them to Ipswich fans as a serious and factual presentation of opposition views?

Bloody weird if you ask me. Must have taken the poor sad sod hours.

He does it for every game I believe, or at least has for all our recent games against Ipswich. Seems to do a pretty comprehensive job although as you say he must lead a pretty empty life to have the time for it.

EDIT: They're usually fairly objective though.. having read the opening section, there's a pretty clear anti-Bournemouth agenda there! Gotta be some selective quoting going on.

To be fair he uses the most popular opposition forums and from looking at your own fans forum, it's not far from the truth.

To be honest I only usually read what the other fans have to say about us and I don't think he could have picked anything good out of what your lot were saying about us!

But then you look at what Town fans have been saying and you can see why the Bournemouth fans don't like us!

Don't think 3 consecutive draws between the two has helped!

Wasn't the most positive article about us the other week either but then some of our fans do think we are the greatest team with the best players in this league which can annoy people I guess baring in mind our record against the top 8.

I would say some fans of teams like Ipswich (not on here) who have had success in the past do look down on clubs not so glorified in history...

3 Games against Ipswich since we got into the Championship and 3 draws, I think we'll see another one today, 1-1. To be honest I'd be more than happy with that with our final 6 games incredibly winnable.

Obviously the height of Ipswich is our main concern, we defend crosses into the box like Parley Sports Under 11's as it is let alone against a team littered with powerful, 6ft+ players. Wilson will be a big miss if he doesn't make it; his pace would be perfect for this one.

Against the run of play really they've started brilliantly, could've had 2 or 3 already

See.... It's so bloody frustrating that we're into the final few games of the season and we're still defending like rabbits caught in headlights.

A positive is you can already tell there could be a few more goals in this one, as shaky as we're looking at the back we've burst into their box a few times already

Didn't realise Bournemouth were that bad at cheating. Two dives in the first half and the ref should have given a yellow card out for both. Pitman's have a shocker whilst Wilson can't get into the game.

Got to think it's only a matter of time until the equaliser, absolutely all Bournemouth. First time I've actually seen them having heard a lot and they've been very impressive. Attractive football but always looking to get the ball forward rather than just passing it round the back as often ends up happening. Just need to be more clinical.

You can see they leave themselves open at the back at times, Sears and Murphy were causing all sorts of problems early on but they've barely allowed Ipswich out of their own half in the last half an hour.

Just tuned into the second half and Bournemouth are playing very well, albeit wasteful in the final third.

Few times now Ritchie's been too selfish going for goal when the pass was the better option

Just as I thought Ipswich were going to hold out. They've defended very well this half tbf but that's an outstanding header from Jones. Doubt many thought they'd get the breakthrough from a set piece!

Jones will them something extra though with his height and physical power.

Are Cardiff just trying to get rid of players early as we have one of their defenders too...

Imagine Ipswich will be the happier with that but it's not a bad result for either side really

Take that after what was a poor first half, shows how huge a signing Jones could be, nobody else in our squad would have scored from that situation. Our passing was way below our normal levels today, McCarthy got his tactics spot on, they were going very direct, winning the first ball in the air and then pressuring us if we picked up the second- Sears epitomised this first half especially.

The dives from Pitman & Wilson were embarrassing, goes without saying you don't want to see that. I'd like to put it down to frustration but at least one of them should have been booked.

Equalizer fairly late hurt but it was a cracking header, and a draw was a fair reflection. People can say what you like about possession but ultimately we didn't allow them to do much with it that really tested our goal. Both sides probably had 2-3 clearcut chances.

A return of 4 points from Watford and Bournemouth bodes well for the last 6. COYB's

Everyone who has beaten us this season set up the same way as you, let us have the ball in the middle but swamp us as soon as we enter the final third. The workrate of the Ipswich back four and the centre mids was commendable. If we didn't have Jones to throw on I couldnt have seen us scoring to be honest.

Bialkowski made one save from Kermorgant at the end that was pure quality, other than that we didn't put him under masses of pressure. Saves from Fraser, Ritchie etc you would possibly expect him to make.

4 games in 18 months against Ipswich and four draws, meeting them in the playoffs would be a nervvy experience

Well that was a cracking day out.

As for the game, yes the scenes with the equaliser were amazing, but personally I came away from the game thinking it was another draw that could/should have been a win. We had so much of the ball (partly by Mick's design admittedly) and we had enough clear chances. And the defending for the Ipswich goal was poor at best.

But if you'd offered me a point before the game I'd have snatched your arm off, Ipswich are such a tough side. It's perfectly possible that we could meet them in the playoffs and if that happened we'd have a massive challenge on our hands.

Jones came on and did very well, look forward to seeing more of him.
