Fucking hell, can't keep Nostradamus away.

I'm just telling you now so you can save the mental energy you may have squandered in the next 9 months. Use it to prepare yourself for a good crack at League Two. Perhaps even put some money on it so you've got a nice kitty for Newport away next season.

Like I said after last week, you'll be down way before the end of the season. Genuinely think you'd have a struggle to stay up in League Two with the team you've got this season.

122 away fans...looks like everyone at the club has just about given up?
I'm not so sure there. Yeah, we look crap at the moment. But we aren't playing our best XI or a system that suits our best players. Then we have a manager who clearly wants to play a tight defensive game, but has been told to play an open attacking game and he's clearly struggling with it. He's playing some players regardless of form because.....reasons. We are giving Adam King time to develop, which is fine. Well, it would be fine if he was our players. I'd be all for it. But he isn't. He still hasn't sourced a LB despite chasing various players for 3 months. He releases our best outfield player from last season because.....erm....yeah, can't find any logical reason for that.

Things will change in the next month or so. Either Davis will get sacked, or he'll get the boards backing to sign some loanees to save us(just like the last 2 seasons). But the point still remains. We don't know what this group is capable of, because Davis isn't setting them up to get the best out of them. If he wises up, makes changes and alters the system(because hey, whats the worst that can happen, we lose games like we are doing now?), then we might improve.

You just have to look at his relationship with the board since promotion. First two years when all was well, Davis was given more funds to sign players he wanted e.g. Pogs, West, Ellis, Inman. When they all flopped and our league position was poor with no sign of an Academy player being sold for big money, the budget was cut. However, regardless of the spin Davis constantly creates, the wage budget has remained more or less the same but the cut that was enforced basically prevented Davis from spending transfer money on players. People who argue about crap budgets fail to remember that Steve has spent close to £300K on transfer fees as our manager (that excludes loan fees too), more than a lot of clubs at our level.

Since that first season we dodged relegation Davis has been given reasonable expectations by the board to develop our own, use less loans and create an attacking style of play, he's done none of these things. The first season we struggled it was harsh to sack Davis as, even though he was out of his depth at times, the Cornwall debacle was a huge cloud hanging over the whole club and that's hardly Davis' fault. The second season I think he should've gone after the Colchester game but I reckon the board kept him as, at the time, we were attempting to play with more of our own players and we were in transition before Davis decided to loan a ton of forwards in a desperate bid for survival. He kept his job by the skin of his teeth but the board have since removed his deputy and promoted Collins, so he knows this is his last stand now. Had Davis been good with the clubs money in the past he'd have been given the funds to sign Coulibaly and Lundstram but the board have every right not to trust him with their money, but it makes me ask why aren't they sacking him yet.

I saw someone post that we were in limbo until Davis leaves, I truly believe that. His defensive football is not welcome here, we have a potential 15-20 goal forward being shunted out to the wing, our natural wingers are on the bench, we still don't have a proper LB 15 weeks after the last season finished, his constant reliance on the loan market is embarrassing at times and his overhyping of favourites is often embarrassing. Ollie Turton is a nice lad, not the worst player in the world and puts in effort but Steve Davis described him as "gold" and a "7/10 performer every week" in games? Really? To me he's a player who is above his natural level and Davis tried convincing us he was a midfielder till he realised he was a decent cheap Tootle replacement at RB instead. Cooper, Colclough and Saunders are on the bench every week whilst the poor Haber and the frustrating Inman get starts each game. Why the lack of forward academy players?

I'm sick of the continuity in the defence and the management. We don't sign permanent fullbacks at all yet permanent CMs seem to be signed every season, Academy defenders get chance after chance when they clearly aren't good enough yet those up top always have to come off the bench to prove their worth. We really need to remove Davis whilst we still can because we won't sell any attacking players for millions under him, Davis still plays up our defenders as brilliant but they aren't going to be the million pound players the club need to develop if they're conceding 75-80 goals a season and when your manager roughly says that our football isn't bad but we can't defend and we can't score, then you know we're in trouble.

Sack him now, promote Collins and give him 10 games to prove himself, if all fails do the unthinkable and employ an outsider whose willing to attack and maintain the Academy, because Davis is doing neither in my opinion.

Yep, can't really disagree with any of that. I did laugh when he talked about sell on value with Nugent. When was the last time we sold a CB for decent money? Have we ever produced a CB that was sold for money? A truly deluded mentality.

With Collins however, depending on if Davis is sacked and when he takes over, you give him till Christmas. 10 games isn't enough to judge him, good or bad.

I can think of a RB being sold for money (John Brayford) but a CB? Christ I genuinely think we haven't for a considerable amount of time!

Christmas is also fair I suppose, I reckon he'd get the season unless he was a disaster. I'm confident that barring a miraculous run of form, Davis won't be manager come 2016.

Davis out, Dario in?

Should probably be careful with those kinds of phrases.

Davis out. Dull, defensive, negative, one-dimensional c***.
