I did like the story of the British woman who went to live in Syria with Islamic State but came home because "it wasn't her cup of tea".

She clearly appreciates tea like a proper Brit. Unlike you.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Racism: A belief that one’s own racial or ethnic group is superior, or that other such groups represent a threat to one's cultural identity, racial integrity, or economic well-being; (also) a belief that the members of different racial or ethnic groups possess specific characteristics, abilities, or qualities, which can be compared and evaluated. Hence: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against people of other racial or ethnic groups (or, more widely, of other nationalities), esp. based on such beliefs.

that islamophobia and general anti-arab/asian sentiment is only now 'on the rise' cos it wos a black person wot dun it this time is pretty funny though. black people of course being the barometer of what the rest of the world are allowed to do without feeling guilt for it...

It's part racist, part anti - Muslim. I don't subscribe to the argument that races of people who have power and privelige have the monopoly on racism. This incident illustrates that.

Of course it is. At it's most basic level, racism is prejudice/discrimination agaisnt someone because of how they look in terms of skin colour, nationality etc. Anyone who is like that is being racist.

The arguments about power structures etc are related to societal racism, which is as much to do with economics, class and politics. See Only a Pawn in the Game by Bob Dylan if you want the best description of working class racism. I say that as a white boy, but class is still the thing we need break before anything else.

Yes, economics, class and politics.

Oliver Cromwell Cox's writings still have much relevance in the sociology of race today.
His book Caste, class and race is a classic and definitely worth a read.

After trying to show your disgust by barging past her only to remember your Bitishness and apologise at the same time

Thinking that people of races other than White is such an accessible yet irrational stereotype.
