We need one of those.

Juventus destroyed Hellas Verona 4-0 this weekend while Roma could do no better than a draw at Palermo meaning that the gap between the top 2 is of 5 pts with Juve having a much superior goal difference (+33 to Roma's +18).

Battle for 3rd is hotting up. Napoli got a big win at Lazio yesterday (1-0, Higuain with the goal) which keeps them in the hotspot. Sampdoria are equal on points with them with yet another win at Parma (2-0). They are the surprise package of the year.
The big clubs disappointed this weekend. Sampdoria Lazio lost at home to Napoli, Milan continued their dreadful start to the season with yet another home defeat (4 games without a win now) and Inter could only manage a 0-0 draw at Empoli. Both Milan clubs are 7 points behind Napoli. They need to wake up if they want to get back in the CL.

At the bottom, Cesena and Parma look already in Serie B. They face each other next weekend basically to determine who will finish bottom and second bottom. The 18th spot is still up for grabs though. Cagliari currently occupy this unwanted spot with both Verona clubs, Atalanta & Empoli not far away.

Stay tuned. Emmett might post!

Looks like Juve are starting to pull away towards their inevitable victory now, Roma stuttering a little too often which is a real shame but with Milan and Inter a few years away from mounting much of a challenge it may become a pattern that keeps repeating itself.

New forum, new thread for this. Gonna try and get involved and keep up with Serie A a bit now. It's what Satch (RIP) would have wanted. My boys are Fiorentina. Is anyone gonna be kind enough to give me a brief lowdown of their recent fortunes?

How do you guys watch Serie A, too? Online or on TV?

I don't watch nearly as much Serie A as I used to. Subscibe to BT sport so watch games on there or ESPN occasionally. Before that though I used to use bet365's streaming service which is pretty good quality and has English commentary. All you need is an account and a balance, don't even have to place a bet on the game.

I watch it on BT Sport most weekend.

Didn't bother watching Verona on Sunday because I knew they'd lie down for Juve. Poor business last summer has left the squad in really poor shape since losing Iturbe and Jorghino.

I don't watch Italian football actually. Keeping up with the Prem, Ligue 1 and the German top two divisions is enough work as it is!

Hello old faces, I've decided to register on behalf of Phil. How is everyone? Who is all left from the old crew? Glad to see that the Nazi's who used to run the old forum have now fucked off.

Oh has that racist come back? Great, will be a superb addition to the forum.

Ah smat, still a pompous twat after all these years? Not given up on that act yet? And yes I will be a superb addition to the forum. Tell me something I don't know.

Looks like Giovinco has gone to Toronto at only 27, bit surprised he didn't pick up a club lower down the league in Italy.

He could play in every club in Italy except Juve and Roma..Obviously it was about money..Sad to see good players leaving competitive leagues for MLS..

Tbh the MLS level is not that bad. More and more players are making the trip across the pond and are quite happy there without the media frenzy and not too many games to play. Also they don't play in the winter.

Yeah that's true, but they're going there only when they are one step away from retirement..This says something..

Plus they have that playoff crap which is really annoying..

I think that's a wild generalization. Some players are looking for a new challenge and playing in sunny Toronto (y'know, when it doesn't snow) is probably more appealing than freezing cold Carlisle United (or something).
Some players are going there to earn one last big fat pay-check, yes, but some really go to just play football. Plain and simple.

MLS is about a year away from being a massive pain tbh, not in terms of Serie A players but once they realise the standard of MLS is about League 1 or whatever and they can offer League 1 players far more than League 1 teams then we'll have a problem. There was a false rumour about NYCFC being after Eoin Doyle and it's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility. Notts have already lost two players in the past to NYRB (Rodgers, who we weren't arsed about keeping tbf) but Sam we were close to signing then bam, NYRB offer him triple the money and he's gone.

Actually a pretty good transfer window for Milan, a big fan of Antonelli and Palletta, haven't seen bochetti in ages, so can't comment.. But hope this finally ends the running circus that is Phillipe Mexes

Following from last week's qualifications for the semis by Lazio and Juve, Fiorentina have knocked out Roma in their own backyard yesterday 2-0. Tonight Napoli take on Inter for the last quarter-final.

Napoli took the last semi spot. Beat Inter 1-0, Higuain in stoppage time.

Juve I haven't seen since they've beat Napoli 3-1, and it seems to me they have improved. Sadly, the title is theirs. Roma's form is dropping and unless they begin to hit some good form, they won't win it. I dislike both teams, but I rather Roma win it than Juve as I'm tired of Juve winning everything. Standard for Serie A has been quite low this season, and it shows by Juve being shit the entire first half the season yet still be in 1st.

I despise Allegri. Such an overrated manager.
