People deciding to film a penalty instead of watching it and enjoying it.

"Everywhere we go" & "Ally Ally Ally Oh" - The songs which one team sings then everyone else in the football league starts singing

People who support the big teams such as Manchester United, Chelsea etc, yet have absolutely nothing associated with the club nor City, and then laugh at you for supporting your local team and saying things such as 'why do you bother watching that rubbish?' yet they've never attended a football match watching 'their team' in their whole entire life, and claim to be a big fan because of their Sky Sports Subscription pass.

Also - what makes it 10x worse is when these bellends tag along when their local team have a hint of success, such as PO's, a day out at Wembley, etc etc.

This ^ 100%. Especially the bit when the Man Ure and Chelski 'fans' tag along when the 'rubbish' local side has a bit of success.

The light show comment is an interesting one.

A year ago I would have turned my nose up at the suggestion of Gasheads doing it at home matches, but it happened spontaneously in a game over Christmas and it was fantastic. It was a spur of the moment thing (4-0 up at home against a promotion-chasing side which proved to even the biggest doubters that we were genuine promotion contenders, good atmosphere given the time of year, etc...) and it just worked. Metaphorically it felt like the light emerging from the darkness of our relegation - that may sound a little too poetic for some, but it was a great spectacle!

We then did the same thing again after a late equaliser against Torquay on NYD and this video shows how it looked from the away end:

Yep, definitely a little thing that annoys me. It's like mexican waves, stop pissing about and watch the football

Along with the above, the following conversation grinds my gears:

Plastic fan: So, who do you support?
Me: Barnet.
Plastic fan: Alright, but who's your proper team?
Me: *Leaves conversation before things become heated*.

To be fair it isn't that distracting to hold your phone in the air for a few seconds when you're singing a song - a lot of people have their phones in their hands all game anyway!

We won't be making a habit of it, don't get me wrong, but at the time I enjoyed it. Mexican Waves, on the other hand, is just disgusting. Do any fans actually do that though outside of America?

This is similair to another gripe of mine; being asked who I support in the Premier League, as though everyone is obliged to support a team in there. I'm guessing 99% of Premier League fans wouldn't know most League 2 teams (if I had a pound for every time I'm asked what league Carlisle are in I'd probably be the mystery investor) so why do we have to know and choose between your teams?

Those light things are shite.

The shite pundits we get at our level.
People claiming they had 600 fans in the home areas when they didn't sell the away end out.

Them: "Who do you support?"

Me: "AFC Wimbledon"

Them: "Oh, do you travel up to Milton Keynes to watch them?"

I then give them a withering look and give them a very long explanation of OUR history post 2002.

The above is genuine, they're not on a wind-up.

The 15 year old kids who turn up once in a blue moon all dressed up in stone island clobber when we have a 'big game' against one of our 'rivals' on. For example, Bury & Luton for us this season

The question I get asked is when I say I support Bristol City by some plastic tosser is - But what PL team?

To which I question them with an 'excuse me?'

They seem gobsmacked I don't support a PL team - unbelievable. If I were from a town which hosted a PL team - then maybe I would.

Whats not to love about that?
Cringey.

Nearly as bad as the 'Allez Allez Allez oh' or 'Everywhere We Go' shite that many clubs seem to persist with nowadays.

Seeing teams like Hartlepool buy their success, signing world class talents like Rakish while we're all having to sign League 2/Conference players in the faint hope of just trying to remain competitive with the mighty 'Pools.

Whenever the pundits on Sky Sports say the phrase 'this has to be greatest league in the world' or something similar about the Premier League, every time someone comes from 2-0 down to win 3-2... or scores a worldy or a last-minute winner. It may seem pretty innocuous written down like that but it becomes tiring when they say it every 10 minutes as though it's written into their contracts to say it for fear of all the viewers switching over to watch Britain's Got Simon Cowell.

People calling the Premier League the 'EPL' and referring to teams as singular 'Carlisle is shit' when it should really be 'Carlisle are shit'.

People who think that Jimmy Glass is the only thing ever to happen to us in our entire history. I'm sure other fans of lower league clubs have different incidents which they get sick of hearing about for similar reasons... well apart from Hartlepool, as up until they signed Rakish Bingham, nothing of note had ever happened to them in their entire history... probably the monkey getting voted mayor.

Harry Redknapp

The 'totaliser' on transfer deadline day. Whenever I decide to check what's been posted on 1FF, I don't refer to my computer as the 'forumiser'.

People announcing with smug pride that they 'don't like football' or making sarcy comments presided on the assumption that there are about 3 people in the whole of the UK who aren't football fans... when I would say that there are very few people in the country who are actually 'into' football. I'd say it was a minority interest.

Fleetwood's goal celebration music and accompanying dancing cod on the screen.

I went from cursing at our inept defending to utter confusion in a split-second due to that. Big up Pugwash.

Players taking corners with most of the ball outside the line because it's allowed, does that inch really make a difference?

I expected that type of childish comment from Shoddy or Hello, but quite frankly I'm dissapointed in you Oakey , with your association with Eric Morecambe I expect wit, humour and sophistication..... not neccaserally in that order!

Especially after you have heard it 15 times while watching the Stags at Highbury in just four games.
