A win here and defeat for Rochdale guarantees our playoff spot. Would like to see us confirm it this weekend given our last 2 games look tricky.

Expect pretty much the same lineup from Tuesday night with Jones in for Talbot.

0-2 with 1800 spireites making the trip :)

Hey ... I do these ;)

I don't think our last 2 games look that tricky any more. Bristol City should be on their holidays by then, and if anything it'll be us safely in the playoffs by the Sheff U match with them needing to win to keep out Rochdale !

A repeat of Tuesday would be nice though, with Oldham not turning up as they settle for their traditional 14th/15th place again.

I've come over all positive, it's very odd. I've even booked the 11th May as leave just in case I've got a game to go to.

Sorry, thought I'd give you a break this week ;) don't usually post but thought I might as well join in.

I do actually fancy us to beat Bristol but hoping its sewn up by then as I'm away for that one.

I know what you mean, there's something very different about this side. Don't think we fear anybody.

Bristol City won't be on holidays. Bristol City has a 100 point target to reach ;)

I don't think we'll get a result out of Bristol. A team full of confidence and ability with no pressure on just playing free-flowing football? I dunno... maybe I'm being too negative :mowbray:

They will be just as dangerous if not more so without any pressure on them. However I do fancy us to at least not get beat.

It was a bit tongue in cheek. I just don't think the last 2 games look quite as difficult as they did a while ago.

Was a cracking game at your place earlier in the season, both teams were flying and it was one of those where either team could of nicked it late on. Unfortunately we are a different side from then and I can only see us getting a point at best here. 1-1.

Why is it all ticket out of interest? Away end holds about 3,500 and we won't bring anywhere near that. Believe we have sold just over 1,500 to date.

think the police like to have an idea of how many are coming over, it may be made pay on the gate tomorrow or Saturday. Sheff Utd was last Sat but my blade supporting mate turned up at quarter to 3 and paid cash no problem despite it being 'all ticket'.

I'd be disappointed if we didn't win this. Secure a win here and the pressure could be off going into the last 2

I think if we win this, we're over the line.

Let's face it, if we both win Saturday, then. Rochdale have to win all 3, and need us to only get a point tops out of our last 2.. If that happens, dale deserve it.

I was there the night we won late in the JPT but every other trip has been varying degrees of misery.

I'd take a point probably.

Driving down for this off the back of Tuesday night. Managed to avoid Boundary Park up till now. Think with >2000 there it should be a good day.

Horrendous game, we looked toothless and chesterfield not much better. 13 points from 39 with Holden yet our chairman describes him as a strong candidate for the job.

Shit game, a strangely subdued away following but thanks to other results a good day and another small step closer to those play-offs.

The pitch was terrible and was probably why Cook threw Armand on in an attempt to be a little more direct (Gardner didn't seem to be injured). I don't think i could accuse Armand of not trying today but the problem is that when he plays we (as a team) generally tend not to, he just isn't good enough. I hope that chance was harder than it looked in real-time 'cos if not...... :ffs:

Didn't go, sounds like the correct decision. Ready for a ripsnortner next weekend though...who better to confirm your place in the playoffs against but the champions?
