Ben Coker is the next out of Sincil Bank - season long loan to Stevenage - odd signing by DC anyway. Been a one way door this week!

Blimey we've 'shed' a lot these past few weeks, can't really think of any more outgoings other than possibly Alex Bradley and Adebayo-Smith. Would love to know the wages that have gone - it must be a fair old whack. Needs must and all that.

Leaves us with a first team squad of 12/13?

This will be Appleton's squad to live or die by,
Strangely, Wellens is taking the opposite opinion. He reckons we need a bigger than usual squad because of the almost constant Saturday/Tuesday format for the coming season.

The club has released an interview with him. When asked what he offers the team, he said “running...I love to run.”
He's stats are mind-blowing. He will put more miles on the pitch than nearly everyone. Seeing as he was signed Crawley as a creative midfielder the amount of effort he puts in is really good.

Said to be a nice bloke, we could miss him more than Palmer.

Good luck to him.

You know what you get with Palmer. Sad to see him go but I suppose the chance of playing in a higher league was too good to turn down. In one respect he is heading home as he was born just down the road in Epsom.

I was only suggesting that we are low on numbers. Squad size of 20 for me mainly due to cost and reassess in January.

Sports science and medical departments will be vital in trying to limit soft tissue injuries.

Hopefully we get someone with a bit of experience who puts himself around, protects the youngsters and scores every now and then. His grandad played for Wimbledon and his dad was at the 1988 FA Cup final so there are close ties there already which must have helped.

Don't you think a 3 month gap had something more to do with the strange results?

Charlton didnt even have their top scorer which they would have done had the season not been stopped.

Weighted PPG or not, the money you spent on that team should have had you in the top positions all season, same with Posh
Not necessarily. Money doesn’t buy success but a season is played over all the games so we will never know now. I like Bristol Rovers so i wish u well this season and tbh i thought baldwin was unlucky with us and lost his confidence. Hope you do well but come 2nd behind us mate.

He's not a winger but quick enough to go past someone.

He is really hard to pigeon hole to be honest. He is all arms and legs. At his best he can break up play, get forward, do a trick or two but when it breaks down he sprints back to defend.

I rate him but people I go to the games with don't. You tell me when you see him.

Any centre forwards who can hold the ball up available?

Cheers. Lowe must have seen something that he likes to fit into his system. Don’t think Ryan Taylor who we let go has got fixed up with anyone yet. The issue with him is injuries and possibly his salary expectations.

Jaydon Mitchel- Lawson signs from Derby County. We had him on loan last season -- A pacey winger who can score goals. This is a good signing for us.

We've made a saturday signing, v unusual for us. Joseph Mills from FGR...I think he had a bit of interest from Plymouth and Swindon this summer?

That’s what was said from the FGR end. Can’t imagine we needed yet another FB or midfielder though.

Good signing for you, though.

Bridcutt is an excellent signing for us. Very rare for a loan player to get the captaincy within a couple of weeks and he immediately made a mark on the pitch as well.

Certainly the type of quality and experience we need to guide the younger lads along and if we can replicate that with a couple of other experienced players then we'll have the balance about right in terms of what we're trying to do long term but not lacking in key experience to manage games, add some streetwise to the squad.

Lewis Page has had his trial extended for another week after impressing in our friendly yesterday. Can imagine if he doesn’t injure himself we’ll offer him a contract.

Very happy to bring in Joseph Mills. It means, experienced and was captain at FGR. Not to mention he was their top scorer from LWB! Seemed pretty much all those who watched him play noted his quality, thought he would go to a bigger side thank us so im delighted we got him. Then I was reminded we are massive so no real surprise.

Joe Walsh has officially left the club. He had a contract offer at the end of the season but the time we gave him to decide has clearly ran out.

Whoever picks him up will get an excellent, if injury prone, centre back for this level. It also means that the only player left from the 2015 promotion winning squad is Dean Lewington.

Tried to get Charlie Mulgrew before the salary cap vote, apparently still trying to get him on loan for the season. 34, but I think would still do a great job in league one for a season. We need a leader at the back and his set pieces are pretty great

Yeah, if this ones true I’ll be delighted. Sounds a real decent young player.

We’ve allowed Ian Lawlor to go to Oldham on a season long loan so we must have a keeper lined up

Rhys Bennett,
Nothing from the club but he is showing on Wicki as a Gills player.
Strange.
Anyway, is he any good?

We've re-signed TJ Eyoma on a season long loan from Spurs. I thought he was a CB but the OS have said a RB who can also play at CB.

He got no minutes last season because of Covid so we're still none the wiser how good, bad or indifferent he is!

Makes sense. Wasn't he a Fatty Evans signing for both Mansfield and Fenit St Peters bog?

Was a pretty competent utility defender/midfielder for Dale, erroneously released after an injury hit season about six years ago. Would have him back if available, you chaps probably have (maybe slightly) more money...

Good luck to him.
