Some absolute honking figures in this league. Vale last game of the season could be massive. Potential to be the biggest attendance at HP in a decade.

Hopefully an away sell out if still all to play for... of course we could have the situation where we visit twice in a week if we finish 4th and 7th or 5th and 6th!

Entirely possible I guess, not sure i'd want to face you though, be a very tough away leg and your currently the only side in better form than us over the past 12 games...

Anyone else I guess we will fancy due to our record against the top 10 but a long way to go yet! Been under the radar going quietly about our business getting abused by Devon Lad but now the pressure cranks up. Need to win half our games I'd say. Nice to be talking about it rather than debating how we are going to get two or three wins to stay in the EFL for a change.

Exeter to finish 4th, Tom Pope to pop up in injury time in front of the big *ank at SJP and Exeter Lad has to go back to his mummy with his little lip quivering as his beloved team have been dumped out of the play offs (again) by the team who will NEVEr make it! Please make this happen

Oh go on, I will bite. Where do we start as you seem to like to target our away followings.

You slated our away following at Swindon, 2 weeks later Vale took nearly 50% less than us

You slated our away following to Walsall, check your last 2 away followings their, I've been boring enough to do just that :D

Our away following of over 500 to Northampton on the day of national rail strike got slated, a few weeks later Vale took just over 400.

Not quite sure what you are trying to achieve, whatever it is it's a shame as there are some good honest Vale posters on here, you seem to be on 1 man mission to tar Vale fans as away following bull shit merchants.

Then next February he re-appears and he proclaims shitty Grimsby will never make it as Exeter ride the top of the league and the process begins again...

To be fair with Walsall one was on TV on a Sunday afternoon just before Xmas the other a Tuesday night with relegation set to be confirmed... this weekend there will be about 1500-2000 at Walsall.

I think its harsh on Crewe though, i'm sure in better conditions more would have gone as most would of expected it to be called off. Vale v Colchester was a huge game similar in terms of how much it could swing in the victors favour and they managed 120 odd.

As for Swindon we boycott that one because we usually get tanned there and have regularly for years!

We oddly travel in huge numbers North of Vale Park but oddly don't travel as well South even if a similar distance. Always been a strange quirk that one.

Some fair points there pal. Other than an impending storm another aspect of last weekend that may have affected not just our away support but other teams support is that it was Valentines weekend. I can hear wails of laughter, but trust me, I fancied Plymouth away but my Wife pulled rank on me and we went out for a meal and a few drinks Saturday afternoon. Maybe that says more about me!

Romantic weekend on the English Riviera popping down to Plymouth on the Saturday... missed a trick there!

We sold out our initial 800 allocation for Walsall and have been given another 650 so should go fast... thought you usually got more than 1450 for Walsall?

Can you not get up to 3000 at Walsall, I'm sure we had behind the goal and all down the side for a play semi in the 92/93 season. We were 5-1 up from the 1st leg, so not sure if they gave us extra as they could not shift many tickets or that's standard procedure for larger away followings.

Says 2000 usually but the press release by Vale says once gone unlikely to get anymore and they are queuing at the shop at the moment for them! Hopefully if they go today/tomorrow Walsall will consider giving us more but possibly a police request, although don't recall us having an issues down there in the past.

The difference is, you've been top 3 most of the season pal. We've been mid table. Don't even try and compare yourselves to us. You can't even bring 2,000 to Vale Park ffs. Absolutely laughable.

Walsall almost sold out. So piss that one off.

Swindon? Even I didn't go that which says something.

Northampton is a dull away day.

If we carry on our current form and can reduce the gap to the top 3 by the time you visit us in March, we could get a crowd that matches your capacity ffs.

Everything indicates we are getting 1450 and that's it. Pathetic really, I've seen Coventry and others given the side bit up to half way.

To think we gave them 4500 when they lost out on promotion .

Assuming Crewe bring more than usual it could be a 5 figure crowd for that one if we keep up our form which would be decent.

Two points on this, if we get no more we should thus refuse to give them a larger allocation that we've got this time in any case that they do require more.

Secondly its surely going to cause more problems as plenty are on about going in the home ends.

Not sure why you bashing Crewe pennywise.
Some of our followings have been shite.
I recently went to Stevenage where it was an abysmal 350 odd.
Last week we took 461 to Northampton. It took me one hour 25 minutes and I only drive steadily. We ought to of been taking 800 minimum.
We turn out for the usual Crewe, Burton, Macc , Salford.
For example in about a month we go to Oldham where we never take massive numbers, ought to be 1700 if we still up there, do well take 1000.
Our support is decent but when you see the support from Plymouth and Grimsby ( apart from when they come Vale ) ours is bang average.
We topped the away support in 12/13 though beating Bradford

Which indicates that given a reason to go, people will. We do well, we take good numbers. We're hovering around mid table and hardly anyone bothers.

A lot of clubs do the same. Crewe are just weird. I just think their fans are utter shite, home and away. Play good football though which is easy on the eye. Nice to see them stick with Artell and give home time to develop the team over a few seasons. Their support is still wank though.

To be fair they have less home fans than we do though? This is why I never get Firthy tugging over Bradford's away support... its bare minimum that you take on average 1 in every 14 fans surely.

We have some weird quirks, Swindon take 250 Oxford usually 800-1000 Bury we've taken 2000 a couple of times Oldham usually about 5-800! Chesterfield and Notts Co we've generally taken well over 1000 yet half that to Mansfield.

Our following to Leyton Orient this season was 613 which is excellent considering our poor away form at the time and thats much further than some we've taken less than 400 along to.

Can’t see why Walsall wouldn’t give us more. So long as it’s safe in terms of segregation etc then surely it would benefit them more financially to let us have the 3000 or so that they can go up to. There’s clearly the demand there.

I've always thought our support at Vale park has been fairly good, certainly more than you usually bring to Cleethorpes. Hopefully we'll still be 'on a high' come Good Friday and our following will be a decent amount.

very tinpot of Walsall to give us that few tickets

Confirmed sell out now, even our players have missed out of tickets for their family!

650 in 2 hours is decent with 45 minutes notice of them going on sale! Sadly can't make it but the boys deserve the support at the moment.

The Walsall away end holds approx 2000, the bit up the right hand side can hold another 1000/1500+ which was empty up to the half way line on Saturday?
They only had 3500 (ish) themselves on Saturday, maybe that's what they are concerned about?
