No love lost with him and Vale fans, didn't help himself with some over exuberant celebrating last season either.

Came from Vale with awful reviews, a lot of Macc fans seemed to rate him but I just didn't see it. Don't think it helped him that despite how garbage we've been and everything going on, all our recent managers have tried to play out from the back and he didn't look very comfortable to me. Seemed better when just simple defending was needed. You'd be better off taking a risk on Nathan Cameron despite his dodgy injury record than Vassell IMO

To be fair to Theo he apologised on social media afterwards as he wasn’t slated by our fans or anything so was really unnecessary to do it.

All four of Barrows players we had were awful for us in the main but have to remember the situation they were playing for us in and the poor management. Even Worrall was poor in that side and this season and the end of the last he has been back to his best and is second to De Bruyne is one stat (key passes I think!) so hard to be too harsh on them!

Like buses.......

After Bilal Moshini, we have now signed Ira Jackson Jr. previous club Folkestone Invicta where he scored 26 in 36.

No, not a clue

We had 2 trialists playing in a friendly at Fleetwood this afternoon (lost 4-2).

Joe Fryer, ex Middlesbrough goalkeeper, but we know all about him as we had him on loan 2 seasons ago before he snapped his leg against Crewe.

and Junior Mondal, most recently with Forest Green.
Did Boro release Fryer? Can't see anything saying if he's a free agent or if we're giving him a trial with a view to a loan.

Played for Dover for a while without looking anything special. Trained with us at the beginning of last season but still went back to Folkestone.
Big jump for him. He must have a good agent.

Always felt that was something of nothing to be honest. Just got carried away in the moment.

I can't remember anything particularly memorable either good or bad from his time at Vale and when it comes to defenders you largely only notice them when they fuck up. In all honesty anybody who played in that Aspin team whatever they did that season should have an asterisk next to it as if the likes of Worrall and Joyce who have shown what they can do with a proper manager looked clueless what chance did he have in all fairness. Same for Angus, Quigley and everyone else Barrow have from that team.

Another terrific day of business for us today. Its bizarre Vaughan has left the biggest club in league 2 and come to us though.
It’s over 20 years ago Joe Murphy played in goal for us in the League Cup final at Wembley. Welcome back Joe.

I presume he’s been released. I wouldn’t have thought he’d be trialling at a League 2 club if he was under contract at boro.

Id welcome his return, I thought he looked good until his injury.

Junior's a talented player, bit lightweight but thought he'd be one of our star men last season after he'd come in and done pretty well in the second half of 18/19.

Didn't really kick on last season, reckon with a fresh start could do well at this level. Is capable of scoring the odd belter. Would be a decent signing for Carlisle.

What is he, a winger? We are lacking wide players, so he’ll maybe get a deal if he can play there.

He's one of those wingers/AM/no 10's that we seem to love signing, got a good shot on him and can beat a man, not sure about his crossing as we don't allow our players to cross the ball very often.

Tranmere initially offered us Stefan Payne as part of the deal, needless to say, we declined.

Here’s hoping we’re freeing up the wages for “someone else”. :tw:

BREAKING NEWS: Bilel Moshni signs for Grimsby Town.

Blimey, thought he had retired ages ago. Last time I saw him was a few years ago at Valley Parade, what a bonkers character, and I have never seen an opposition player get so wound up by our fans on the kop to such an extent that he completely lost it and had a nightmare

He can't still be playing, surely?! You'll never have a drab afternoon with him at CB. At Southend, I'm sure he added some excitement to boring games and just decided to two-foot opponents for a laugh.

Is it just us that haven't signed anyone now? Not too late is it?

No agent. It was done Through his dad which Holloway seems to like as he thinks it gives him a better idea of the character of the player.

As you say, big jump up. Time will tell but Ollie liked what he saw when on trial and training so we have to trust his judgement (for now)

It's a free hit isn't it?
He's one of many religion-focused players[seen on their twitter accounts] we had when Kinnear was manager. Their agent may have been god :)

Bilel Moshni.

FA Cup Second Round, we drew at Southend, and the Third Round draw saw the winner of the replay going to Anfield.

In that replay, Bilel Moshni got himself an utterly stupid sending off, and what was set to be a tight game was won quite simply by us.

After full time, Moshni was seen to come out of the players' entrance by himself, loudly ask where the nearest train station was, then announce that he was making his own way home and started walking!

A Southend member of staff ran out and got hold of him before he got too far, telling him to "Just get on the facking bus"or some such.

Loved that.

Played for us last season, he started to look good but the season ended before he was completely match fit. Definitely a player in there, whether or not he's League 2 standard I have no idea.

Bobby Grant will fall out with management before too long. A shithouse.

3 of our players from last season have now turned up in League 2.

We only just stayed in that league last season people. Get it together.

It's funny isn't it. Bolton got nothing but abuse for signing a few players whilst under an embargo that some other clubs wanted because they though we were "Buying the league" or "Not learning from their mistakes". Yet here Tranmere are, signing 2 players for what is likely going to equate to the wages of 5 or 6 of our biggest earners and no one is saying a word.

Strange to me.

I don’t rate Payne, but the thought that the prospect of getting him made Bradford rip up Vaughan’s contract and let us have him for free is hard to believe...

The world of a club that pays it’s bills and doesn’t go into administration is understandably strange given Bolton’s recent history.

Left Ross County last summer. For one reason or another, didnt manage to sign for another club until we picked him up in January/february. Played 6 games for us and scored once, and looked like a player once his fitness was coming back.

We wanted to offer him a contract but our management have dithered

Another ex Wrexham player, Jake Lawlor, has signed for Harrogate. I imagine he will be back up, but a lot of our fans didnt mind us releasing him, even though he was first choice for a lot of it

I'd love you to point me in the direction of the evidence that we have done any of the such under these owners...

I’m a bit confused by how Tranmere have signed Vaughan, so Bradford have paid him off his contract and Tranmere have got him for free? (Excluding his hugely inflated wages)
