City fans seem to think they'll be playing the youth against us, especially in defence, i'd piss myself if all these bell ends that only come on games against the big clubs get to watch us beat an academy side.

That said, i'm sure the likes of Jesus, Mahrez & Foden will get a run out, who will still rinse us.

Is it a sell out? Their 2nd team is still unreal, it won both cups last year.

Think there were about 1,000 left as of a couple of days ago.

With the way City fans are talking they're expecting more of a youth team than a 2nd string. I'm doubtful though, Pep doesn't seem to take anything for granted.

Personally I hope we're playing eleven teenagers and Aguero & Silva aren't even on the bench.

Why would you hope for that? One of the best nights I’ve ever had was when we did United in the QFs, they didn’t have a second side out either they were full strength.

When we played City they went with two incredibly strong sides, would be surprised if they field the kids against you.

So we can go as far in the competition as possible, I don't particularly give a shite who we play.

I'd rather get to the semis beating L2 sides, than get a payday against a top 4 side and go out in Rd 3.

My bad, I thought you meant you’d rather Preston were playing 11 teenagers rather than playing against 11 for City. Makes sense.

Any Preston fan calling for us to play the same side we fielded in Round 1 & 2 is thick as pig shit. There's quite a few of them anyway.

I'd probably keep Ripley in goal and that's about it, bring Rafferty & Browne back into the side as well for Hughes who is just back from injury & Gally who can't be expected to play every game at 35.

9000 of us off to the emirates tomorrow

Actually fancy us to get something there as they will have to play some reserves.

I hope we go with our strongest team possible barring a couple of changes to prevent injuries (Hughes, Gallagher) like you said. If we put out a similar side to the first couple of rounds they would probably score 10+.

Interesting to see if he gives Andre Green another chance in the cup, he seems an utterly pointless signing so far.

Everton at home for us, good cup tie and considering their current form could be a good chance for us to cause an upset. Considering the injury prone players we have, who so far have done well for minutes we should really rotate a few for this one, 4 changes as any more than that and things never seem to get going. Luongo, Thorniley, Dawson and Nuhiu come in for me, hope we win this as the League Cup run in 2015/16 really kick started our league campaign, and we'd be one game from a quarter final.

I think Fox, Nuhui and Winnall will start, probably Murphy too having been on bench Saturday.
Should be a decent game with a decent atmos, 4,500 Everton travelling, nowhere near a full house but should be well over 20,000.

I fear a bit of a battering tomorrow for us against Leicester. If we persevere with no actual defensive midfield player and Leicester play something like a first team we could be absolutely roasted. If they play Vardy against our 2 centre halves with no protection in front of them..could get very ugly.

Not liking that line up from us, too many chances and that Everton side even with 5 changes looks scary.

I think we're about to be "mauled by the Foxes" looking at the team line ups this evening.

Edit: Luton 0-1 Leicester
Demarei Gray

And James Justin scores... for Leicester. Roundly applauded and cheered by his own fans... that's his home town Lutonians.

The most tinpot thing I’ve ever seen. If that happened at The Valley, I’d be walking out.

And that’s 4-0 from Tielemans and Gray again.
7 goals at home conceded this week without reply...

Harry Cornick should’ve pulled one back by Kazenga decided to head it on the line with the ball going in and thus caught offside.

This week has been a real stinker.

Made 6 changes and only lost 3-0... I'll take that! And we hit the post...

Sterling and the two Silvas are another level. Jesus' movement is class and Mendy looked quality when he came on.

DJ, Davies & Barkhuizen our best players, Nugent did well when he came on, has something to offer.

Cringeworthy isn’t it, I read that earlier on.

A few of our fans applauded Agüero off at AG in 2018 (I’ve no idea why, very weird) and they got set upon as people thought they were Man City fans.

Did KDB play? Up there with the best I’ve seen live, flawless.

Fair enough. Sterling played up front against us and didn’t really influence the game but he’s definitely improved over the last 18 months.

Played left wing and he's pretty untouchable, one of a handful of opposition players I've seen clapped off at Deepdale.

Jesus was up front, he's good but I'd be interested to see how he did at a mid table club who don't drag defences all over.

Just looked through their side, noticed Bravo in goal. When we played them he was picking passes most players at our level wouldn't even see.

He'd play midfield in the Championship even at his age.
