The sequel to attractive fixtures.

1) Morecambe. Been three times I think and it's a long bloody way.
2) Plymouth. Basically France.
3) Yeovil. No one gets excited when Yeovil come to town

Morecambe.

Once is by far enough for a trip to that soulless dive.

Oxford because of the middle-of-nowhere soulless stadium thing and the fact that the police won't even let our fans drink in Frankie and fecking Bennies before the game, it was a complete piss take last time. Similar reasons for Northampton although that's not quite as bad.

Dagenham does nothing for me. Despite the allure of a 'proper knees up' in town we always lose and it takes about a month to get to on the District Line.

For away matches, anything involving the M25, especially on a Saturday. Crawley is probably the least attractive prospect. Most other prospective trips have 1 or 2 redeeming features. Newport in mid-winter does not stir the juices but September or April might tempt me out.

For home fixtures, its not really about the opposition but U's v Morecambe has great potential to disappoint - especially if ace wind-up merchant Kevin Ellison fails to get his comeuppance.

Crawley v Stevenage would probably be streets ahead in a "least attractive fixture not involving your team" thread.

Although it is a poor man's Cambridge, anyone who passes up drinking in the city to drink on a retail park by a crap estate is doing away days completely wrong.

That said, apart from the city of Oxford being a complete pleasure, there is little else appealing about that as a trip. I can see why Oxford fans generally hate it so much (as a stadium as well as how the stadium is run). The Ox is awesome though. Edit: The fans are decent and the flags are pretty cool, didn't want to seem too harsh!

For me it would probably be Crawley. You don't even get a terrace these days, you get a gazebo. The place is bland, the club is bland, and as Alan said, any trip that's mainly M25 driving is always a bit crap!

Crawley is top of the list for me, the first word that springs to mind is poxy, I just hate going their.

Wimbledon is next for me, I absolutely hated last seasons trip, the drinking, the parking and especially the ground are just truly awful.

Get here early enough and the parking is fine. Plus you get to meet the friendliest car park steward in the league. *cough* :)

We did ask at the car park but were politely told that it's street parking only, we ended up parking in a little car park near some allotments, behind the away stand basically after some kind words to a policewoman, we did miss the first goals though.

I went in the Conference and really enjoyed Wimledon as an away day, but away end has changed since then hasn't it?

No terracing behind the goal now so the away terrace is down the side of the pitch. A crap view for shortarses, but hopefully we'll be moving in a couple of years.

Yea sorry about the 25, same for home fans, it's to drive up season ticket sales, a tac tic that may backfire as the season tickets have gone up 70 quid to 250, we won't shift 3000 this summer at that price...I believe it's cheaper if you buy from your club shop before the day of the game

It's not anywhere near as out of town as Oxford! Sadly in a few years - we will be moaning about your new ground. It will not be the same going to York again!

To be fair, when I went to your place this season i took the train so had that hellish walk. Our one won't be as bad as that! I know Oxford is as well, but i get the car there so don't have to do too much walking!

Of course, should you find the one train an hour that stops at Hartlepool, you only have a 1 minute walk to the ground, should you not be tempted by the Rat Race real ale bar on the station

Accrington Stanley v Dagenham & Redbridge on a Tuesday night will be a hot seller.

We've played them away on a Friday before and it was over 1000 which I was quite surprised at, they've played us on a Tuesday night at ours and we managed over 1500, so watch it ;)

As for my least favourite away's, any shitty new build stadium like Oxford isn't big on my list, and as I've mentioned elsewhere Northampton because we will never beat them. I need to be convinced by Cambridge as well, went there on a Tuesday last year and didn't particularly like it at all, imagine a Saturday would be better though.

Wycombe and Cambridge are much further out than Sixfields and at least when you get to Sixfields , there is a selection of pubs and eating houses

Pubs and parking in Duston are excellent as well. I agree, the area around The Abbey is not well served with food and drink options for visiting fans, especially if numbers are significant. We've abandoned The Wrestlers and drink/eat in town or Histon/Waterbeach these days.

I know there's bugger all around our ground these days bar the Wrestlers & Cornerhouse, but it's only a mile from the town centre.

Certainly feels a lot further out than that at times, especially when Newmarket Road is being it's usual self.

It definitely feels a lot further when its the middle of January and you've just witnessed a 4-0 hiding...

Not including Plymouth which is a complete dump....

1) Luton - grim town, grim people, pretty much in no mans land.
2) Northampton - nothing town, soulless stadium, miles from anywhere, 10 times worse than oxford even.
3) Crawley - the only reason you'd ever go here is to fly away from it as fast as possible.

Crawley is completely uninspiring, not a great place, people, ground or trip - plus there is that person with the stupid bell.

Yeovil also isn't Upto much, only saved by cider.

Newport is probably the worst though, has nothing going for It at all
