Part of Hartlepools problem the last 3 years has been lack of decent signings due to the owners hiding behind the FFP rules, how Orient intend to fit into these rules will be interesting to see

Using conservative estimates of the 12 first team players under contract for next season, I still have our wage budget (players) at around 2.3 million. Kevin Nugent is apparently on the same wage as Slade was and who knows what Liverani is earning.

In short, we're daffy ducked.
You are a dosser, and a dwad.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Welcome.

FFP only impacts the club when the owner's financial contribution is as a loan and not a lump sum.

The Henderson deal worried me as well, just in case this potential scenario arose... I make it our contracted wage bill next season is around £2.5million.

According to the Evening Standard Becchetti ordered Liverani to continue with training for the players because he's pissed at the relegation. Ha.

Happy days to come then. The fact that the accounts haven't been filed is shocking and wouldn't be surprised if you found £10M worth of debt in there considering who's in charge.
I feel for my Orient homies.

The official story is that it's taking time because of the takeover and we've been using different accountants from Matchroom. However one of LOFC Holdings directors is a partner in a massive accountancy firm... I have my own theories as to why the financial thing seems messed up, but I'm not gonner say anything cos I like not being sued :D

Was expecting Orient to come straight back up but the more mental it gets down there the less chance they have, which is good for the rest of us

Hated the Henderson signing and expressed my worries at handing out such a ludicrous contract.

99% of our fanbase - 'Don't worry, we're rich, we can afford it. You won't be moaning when he scores 20 goals to take us up.'

Proof that most football fans are idiots.

If he'd actually stayed fit and scored at least 15 goals he'd have provided some value for money at least.

Instead we get 8 goals and 4-5 months out injured.

Statement coming in next 24 hours.

Looks like Liverani is in charge and one of the players has just tweeted complaining about having to do double training sessions next week :thumbs:

Fair.

On a side note Rob, you watching the Agon channel? Season finale...

The standard is awful, and now there's an interview with the Albanian prime minister... Yeah... Wtf? One of them now gets to win a contract for next season :alien:

It just keeps getting worse and worse and worse and worse:

http://www.report.rai.it/dl/Report/puntata/ContentItem-808feefe-8227-421b-9225-7ab18cf137ba.html

"Since last December 1, on channel 33 of the digital terrestrial broadcasts Agon Channel, the first TV outsourced and produced in Albania, in lean times it became a popular destination for our entrepreneurs, where the tax is 15 percent and the average salary a worker does not exceed 250 euro. Simona Ventura, Pupo and Sabrina Ferilli, were among the first to marry the Roman Francesco Becchetti project entrepreneur who has invested 40 million euro without aid of banks. Expert in waste management and energy, with a passion to become a major publisher, what kind of business owner is Francesco Becchetti? And especially where you are investing the money in his flat?"

We are fucked, well and truly fucked.

In short, his wealth is being investigated.

I don't see a problem with that, they are being paid ridiculous sums of money and badly under-performed.

oh poor them paid about £8-10,000 a week and being made to work until the end of march tut tut.

I don't get why the players are doing it though. Tell them to fuck off. The worst that'll happen is that they'd sack them but most would find clubs elsewhere fairly easily (albeit at a lower wage). I think I'd want to be out of there sharpish if that was me.

Bad times at Orient. Sounds like the clock has gone back to 94-95, except Sitton is not in charge.

When it's so against the norms of what any football team would do it isn't great...

We will be lucky to even survive next season if I'm honest.

Making the players train for 2 extra weeks after the season has finished isn't going to help anybody, the funny thing is it was Shaun Batt who tweeted it and he is 100% not going to be offered a new deal anyway!

Either this is the dopey owners idea to punish the whole squad (Well 15 of them are now likely to leave anyway as they're out of contract) or Fabio Liverani is as stupid as he is. Liverani could be looking for some sort of response as he looks to decide who to keep and who not too keep, as I said at the moment we have 15 contracted players for next season -Two of which won the TV Show.

If Liverani was bullied into doing this by Becchetti, then he is a fool, how is he going to tell Becchetti that he can't play the two Italian boys form the TV show because they're not good enough when he is going to be pushed into doing so.....?

We was always going to become Non League one day, this is just speeding the process up and along the way we will go bust as well, because of the stupid money we're paying.
