Gerrard at his press conference "I'm not really one for attention or focus".

2 - 0 to Liverpool but I sense this being a strange game with it being Gerrard's last at Anfield.

He will be desperately shooting from anywhere in this match, like in the Chelsea game last season where he played as an individual. In recent weeks I have noticed that he's even stopped taking wide free kicks and corners because he wants to be in the box grabbing the glory.

He's bound to score a 37th minute Penalty after Raheem Sterling gets brought down 2 yards outside the box.

He'll then get subbed in the 88th minute (as he told Brenda to do) so he can get a standing ovation.

We'll miss you Stevie Me.

So many people bitter about Gerrard here lol. Pirlo, "He was probably the most complete midfield player in Europe, of course I wanted to partner him." When Pirlo says so you fucking listen!

John Terry has scored more non penalty goals than Gerrard in the last 5 seasons. #GerrardFactz

I'll go with Liverpool 1 Crystal Palace 0. All about Gerrard of course, tickets reputedly going for a few grand in some cases. Jesus, cheaper to buy a plane ticket to America to watch him live next season...

I was at Stuart Pearce's last game when he was on 99 goals. He was shooting at free kicks, corners, from 50 yards. City got a penalty and Dave Beasant basically pointed to the bottom corner to say 'put it there'. City were 3-1 up in an otherwise meaningless game, but Psycho being Psycho wanted to earn it so went to smash it in the top corner....

Missed.

Yo, anti-Gerrard crew: You're the ones giving him all the attention on this forum. It's counterproductive.

In 10 years nobody will remember Scholes or Lampards last game in England....they just left with a boot full of medals, their job was done.

You do of course realize that it is perfectly possible to not compare Gerrard with them just for the sake of it?

He's been a great player. It's his last game. Leave it at that.

I reckon Gerrard will be manning an anti-aircraft gun, no one is going to rain on his parade. "Today is all about me", he might have said.

Anyone know when Gerrards last game at Anfield is? Haven't heard anything.

What are the odds on a Gerrard red card?

Hair's up on the back of my neck and arm for that Gerrard entrance. If you can't show any compassion/respect for a great career, you aren't a proper football fan in my eyes.

Jesus fucking christ get a grip you wet flannel.

I particularly liked the stadium announcer reminding everyone that he won 'pretty much' everything.

I said the same with Lampard, probably my favourite ever Premier League player (Super Frank)..just remember, part of being a football fan is...the villians to your own team, or players you look forward to coming against. You also remember that most football fans do the exact same thing as you do when it comes to you're own team...I can respect great goals/celebration/career alike. I quite often want teams to score if it means there fans get to go mad, have that moment that all football fan chases 46 games a season.

See nothing wrong with that.
