Lucas injured. Which has left me with no hope of a Liverpool win. Hopefully Daniel starts up top.

Liverpool are counting down the results against Tottenham until they win the title again

Tottenham 0-5 Liverpool
Liverpool 4-0 Tottenham
Tottenham 0-3 Liverpool

Surely this must be Liverpool 2-0.

Next season Liverpool will beat them 1-0, and later draw 0-0 to win the title!

Not too confident of Liverpool getting all three points here. Lucas has been superb latterly and will be a huge miss over the next few games. Spurs have their tails up and Kane and Eriksen are in terrific form and I think they will get something from the game. Hopefully Strurridge starts and looks sharper and the front line can click here and over the next tough run of games, but I do think this match will end in a draw which helps none of these two sides.

Liverpool 1 - 1 Spurs

2-2.

Should be a great game. Tough to see Liverpool finishing top four if Tottenham win; whereas if Liverpool win, you wouldn't put it past Rodgers to use this as motivation to get the side in a groove. A draw is obviously my preference.

Got a horrible feeling Spurs may take this.

I think Liverpool will line up as...

Mignolet

Can
Squirtle
Sakho

Ibe
Henderson
Gerrard
Moreno

Markovic
Sturridge
Coutinho

I don't like Henderson and Gerrard together, I'd imagine Gerrard will be pressured quite regularly to try and take advantage of the fact he's about as quick as Christopher Samba moonwalking through custard.

I have a feeling Tottenham will pay us back for the last three fixtures. They look really good at the moment, and we're generally gash without Lucas.

Yeah I have a bad feeling about it especially with Sterling now out too.

Remember when Rammy said that Ibe wasn't good enough for Premier League football and wouldn't get any games?

None of you will ever convince me that Sakho is anything other than absolutely shite.

Spurs would be well on top if they'd stop causing their own problems. That square ball fuck up is Liverpool's only in at the moment.

Yeah it was a beezer! :D

Any of these teams can win this from here, Spurs look slightly the better team at the moment, though Liverpool are causing them problems at the back. Sturridge was unlucky with that backheel hitting the post, but in general he doesn't look match fit to me, his touches and runs don't look that sharp currently. Coutinho and Gerrard have been missing as has Markovic since the goal. Ibe and Moreno look threatening, but they have to do better to create clearer opportunities.

Still nervous that Spurs could nick this as well.

Both of the defences look so easy to breach. That was always going to be the case with Liverpool losing Lucas and deciding to play Gerrard and Henderson as the CM pairing though. Why not play Can in centre mid in Lucas' absence?

I'd say Liverpool are strong down the right with Can, Ibe and Markovic doing all the creative stuff. Moreno and Coutinho have been passengers in this game.

I think Can has had a real positive impact on the defence since Rodgers switched to a 433. I agree that Liverpool playing with no proper DM is a risk.
Then again, Spurs have Bentaleb...

Rodgers in not picking a proper DM is indeed risky, he is going for it, but I worry it could cost them.
