Aguero has always been a fantastic striker, and with Suarez gone is the best in the league when fit. Unfortunately, that simply doesn't happen often enough.

Coloccini is meant to be an experienced, quality centre back. He is a walking disaster.

Can someone remind me how much city paid for Aguero ? and what his current value would most likely be ?

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
£38m

And I think it would have to destroy the world transfer record for City to even consider the concept of even thinking about not actually wiping their arse on the offer.

Third and fourth goals were phenomenal and show he's got his mojo back. A fortnight ago, he'd have missed those.

KDB's goal wasn't half bad, either. (A fluke, according to Shearer)

I love how you always manage to work in something to grumble or be salty about , even when your team wins 6-1.

Would've been interesting if Newcastle didn't have that goal wrongly ruled off for offside at 0-1.

Aguero was brilliant though. Very important for Etihad that he stays fit.

No way would Aguero break any transfer record. There is a reason the top clubs have shown no interest in him, and it's nothing to do with his quality (when fit).

What's the reason then? Not forgetting he played 49 times last year for club and country and scored 35 goals in the process.

37 games the year prior, 40 before that, 53 before that etc....

Probably because he's not a racist canibal.

I sure it'll be that.

Because he's either injured or playing not 100% fit whilst recovering from said injury far too often.

Grow the fuck up.

While disregarding the cannibal nature of Louie the Shark, as a player he's a decent comparison as he's of a similar stature in the league. In his tenure at Liverpool Suarez played in 133 games for club and country. In the same timeframe Aguero played in 146 matches. Last season Suarez played in 47 games, Aguero 52.
So I don't think injuries would be a great concern when it comes to signing the Argentine. Probably more that Man City would command a ridiculous fee because they're a club that can literally turn down any offer that goes in for him.
Aguero would be a marquee signing, he's exactly the type of player that Real Madrid would throw money at even if they didn't need him when it comes to election time.

Ha.

Good comeback.

More to the point though, I don't think he will break any transfer records, because as JimJams said above, why would City accept anything other than an utterly ridiculous offer? He seems more than happy at the club at the moment, and there's probably not many in world football who could replace him (that would be available for anything other than the same sort of ridiculous fee).

And I hope it stays that way for a long time, and he continues to bang in the goals for City. Even if he does have the occasional injury outage. He wasn't fully fit yesterday either, which was why he was subbed off.

Better that than missing a couple of months a season for non-footballing 'dick' reasons. Which is where the Suarez comparison comes in to it's own really.

I wonder how many people had monet on his getting a hat-trick yesterday? I've seen it pointed out that he actually scored ten, if you take all the possible combinations of the goals. Wonder if that would stand up in court??

Nice game. City's middlefield had some troubles but this obligated Aguero to show his full and he did it fantastically. And De Bruyne also let his goal and keeps very constant in City.

The reason Aguero hasn't pushed for a move is likely due to his loyalty bonus being astronomical. If Madrid want him he'll want to go, he just won't want to risk losing out on all that money.
