Let's see what's Van Gaal's excuse tonight after we humiliate them in front of their own fans. The weather or the injuries? The pitch or the ref? :dk:

So United's tactic is to cross it into the box loads and loads. I think someone else at the club tried this strategy once.

Nice pick out from Van Persie, pretty simple header for Rojo. 2-0.

On a side note, this is the first time I've watched BT sport, does Owen do the commentary on all the games? So boring and monotone

He does the majority of them, unfortunately.

They didn't give us much trouble in the end, aside from hitting the post in the first couple of minutes.

Well we lost which wasn't a surprise and was the fair result. They SHOULD be beating us comfortably. No complaints with the score, just wish Elliott had put his chance away in the first minute so we could have had our moment but ho hum, it wasn't meant to be.

It's been a great cup run for us, has really set us up for the next few years financially. Our support was excellent tonight, we can be proud of our club.

Just got home, ffs Elliot, if only he'd have scored........... The outcome would have been the same but at least I could have had my own little mosh pit in 331, proud but slightly disappointed at the same time.

I'm off to sleep.

That was a better performance from United, still not convinced with the tactics and line up Van gaal has been using lately.

Why not just stick Rooney up front and give Herrera a chance to stake his claim in the middle? Other than that, it was a solid performance and Cambridge didn't cause us too much trouble.

I got home at about 2.15-2.30. Journey on the way home was a farce - roadworks on the M6, A14 closed, went down M1 (more roadworks), turned on to A428 which was then closed at Bedford so we were forced through the town, then roadworks where the A428 meets the A1, roadworks on A14 at Cambridge. On the whole it was a nightmare journey! Feel sorry for anyone that got a coach.

It's wasn't the best journey and you really could do without it at that time but it seems whichever way you went there was roadworks, I went m62 a1 route but like you say, at least we wasn't on one of those coaches, poor sods.
