Huge game, lose this and there will be good daylight between us and the top 4/5... could end up being a battle for one playoff place as a result.

We normally do OK against Boro but I just can't see us getting anything from this.

2-0

I can't remember what I said about this yesterday, probably something pretty negative. Middlesbrough's form isn't great at the moment either, but I still think we'll lose. 1-0.

2-1 boro but Ipswich had the better of it. Konstantopolous looks shaky. Ipswich aren't very attractive but they're effective enough

What a joke crowd. Any other club in this league would sell out a top of the table clash at this stage, Sky or not. Don't know why people want Boro back in the Prem.

This is best we've played for a while, we've definitely been the better team and we're still losing. So frustrating.

Weird how poor their home support is when they can take 7000 to an away game. Been exceptional with their away crowds this year.

Still, their home attendances are up about 3000 from last season.

Disappointing to lose to this shower of shite. Good account in the first half, second absolutely abject.

Worrying times to be a town fan.

Don't really know what to make of that. First half we played well, looked more creative and better balanced going forward than we have done for a long time. But then we end up with our biggest defeat of the season.

Got to hope for some favours later today, quickly looking like it may become a fight for one place.

I still expect us to beat the likes of Brentford and Wolves to it, but jesus, we aren't half making it difficult.

With Brentfords fixtures, I can't see us making 4 points on them if they win today. And our goal difference is looking similar to theirs now.

They're full of confidence and no expectation so will likely get that 6th place.

I'm usually positive about us but everytime I see MM starting 11, I find it difficult to stay positive.

Maybe 14th time lucky next season?

I fear for us next season if we don't go up. Bye bye Mings,McGoldrick... maybe Bish?

Gotta get behind the team in this last 9... clearly low on confidence but last thing they need is the fans turning.

Couldn't agree more. Fans are turning on the manager though, not the players. He's just been picking the wrong team for 2 months and every Town fan knows it

How can you say that? We have been playing decent football today, up until their third we had 55% possesion and they were the hoof ball team...
I remember after our game with you last month one of your fans said that Ipswich had the highest percentage of long balls attempted of any Championship team, had the lowest pass completion percentage of any Championship team, and had the least dribbles attempted per game of any Championship team. Add in the Mick McCarthy factor and it's fairly obvious you play hoofball.

Explains why we got 6 points from you this season too, only form of football we know how to play against.

Yes we have been playing hoof ball when playing 442 but in our good run playing 433, we were able to mix it up.

Today though, we didn't lose because of hoof ball. We lost because of individual defensive errors by players that MM persists to play.
