Blimey herts....:2thumb:

Did you realise that you would be questioned or challenged by fans of 24 + clubs ~~ after you posted your research?

Thank you for your hard work.

And for the rest of us, we can chip in with newer info, updates etc ~~ that's the theme of this thread I reckon ~~ and it's good that Herts replies.... :brill:

As far as I wish to contribute, it is to recognise that Herts has done enormous work, and it is upto the rest of us to support that information { by denial or confirmation} ~ with facts and not club PR~~~
FACTS that Deny or Prove the Stats....please.

Terrific research Herts ~~ thank you.

It's not fair to take any credit for the research, tbh. That was done by others as I mentioned in the very first post. I merely tabulated it by club here.

It would be good to see similar info for clubs in League 1 and League 2 but there's less interest in that level.

Discovered in-depth analysis of the 2013/13 season on this website. Highly recommended reading for those interested in the money side.
And more here with a mass on the 2013/14 season...could have saved myself a lot of trouble!
Although it's mainly show in graphs, rather than the actual numbers, it has far more detail than on this thread!.

Lancy should be in his element in this thread, yet he's never even posted in it.

I know people take the piss that we have a 32000 seater stadium and only fill half (if that) of it, but one off the things that Winkleman wanted was a stadium that would be used for big events and provide funds from other streams than just the Dons. We have just had the RWC at StadiumMK and are hosting other events. We even had the National Jehovahs Witnesses Conflab or whatever they called it:2thumb:.

I don't know how all the different finances come together but he has said he is quite happy with how things are going but won't let the club self destruct by splashing out too much. Cest la vie.

Does anyone know what's happening with the £60M fine that QPR were given?

Herts might be interested to hear (if he hasn't already) that Bournemouth have been part taken over by an American banking billionaire and now I imagine will become even more speculative and potentially unsustainable over the next few years than we were previously. Although it looks like we might get a better stadium out of it at least.

Am I hearing correctly that things are looking up for Bolton at last. Eddie Davies apparently prepared to cancel the best part of £200m of debt owed to himself as he sells the club on. Pretty extraordinary.

I believe the FL wiped that fine completely because they knew if QPR were sent to the conference shit would get big

Surprised at ours considering our summer business. Some outrageously high and low ones.

1.2 million for 48 transactions. Top work Mel Mozza and the club.

Less than £200k, not bad at all considering some clubs spent £2.8m!

Not such good news today - players haven't been paid this month. Sounds like they desperately need a new owner.

Brighton, who are quite open with their finances to their credit, have released their accounts I see.

Lost 10.4m last season, down from their loss of 10.6m the season before (well within FFP). Debt rising to £150m.

Their owner to quote "any Championship club wishing to compete for promotion will inevitably make significant losses",
And isn't that the truth.

10m loss to finish 20th? Ouch. Lucky for them they are actually doing well this season then.

Although didn't they make loads of sales last season (Ulloa etc) which makes those figures even worse considering this season they spent quite a bit and their attendances are no better. £150m debt too, they need promotion.

We spent horribly last season, god knows how we made the losses we did having raised tens of millions with the sales of Ulloa, Buckley etc and having released a lot of the high earners. Think the Chris O'Grady transfer summed up it all up really.

Thankfully we appear to have learned our lesson, and then some, with this year's business.

We're out of the FFP embargo now, surely they've got to scrap it? No consistency whatsoever.

Ipswich have just released accounts for 2014/15, first time since Marcus Evans bought the club that we've made a profit. The overall figure is strongly improved by player sales (Mings and Cresswell), but there are other positive signs too like increased gate receipts and commercial income.

The debt is all too the Chairman, so 'within' the club so to speak. Vast majority of that was the cost of building the ground and the training ground. He said he doesn't expect to ever get much of it back and will effectively write it off if needs be in the future. So we're very lucky to have a fan with deep pockets in charge in that respect.

10m sounds bad but I seem to recall once all the figures came out last year we were about mid-table in terms of losses. Will be plenty of other Championship club announcing similar figures in the coming months.

Try using the [ code] and [ /code] tags around the tables, it preserves spacing, e.g.

Code:
                        Index of Wage Bill to:

QPR (Ch 4) £66.4m 137 *348
Blackburn (Ch 8) £34.5m 71 181
Reading (Ch 7) £30.1m 62 *158

Sheff Weds (Ch 16) £11.1m 23 58
Charlton (Ch 18) £10.4m 21 54
(* = in PL that season)

Interesting stuff anyway, it's hard to compare the details for all sorts of reasons but it gives a good overview.
Queens Park spends more on wages as Dortmund, Blackburn and Wolfsburg are on the same level. Reading tops Gladbach.

Sandhausen were deducted 6 points for making an unallowed loss of 50k (!!!!!) Euro

Horses for courses.

In anything in life there is a geographical financial disparity.

Our main problem is revenue - in that our current ground generates very very little. You can see in the table, we have the smallest revenue, by quite some distance (with MK Dons the only one being close). Our wage bill isn't massive by any comparison, but it isn't sustainable on the current revenue. That's why our new ground is so important. Even if gates don't massively improve, the other revenue streams it will open up will generate a lot of new income into the club.
It might be of interest to you to see what our non match day revenues are in future as we have gone from having zero non match day revenue streams to fully operational conferencing and corporate facilities which are used pretty much every day. I know the boxes are sold out for 3 seasons which is positive but, as a normal punter, I can't get over the number of people in the ground / fans village at 1 pm for a 3 pm kick off. Whereas most used to just turn up at a quarter to 3, there are 1,000's of fans around at 1 now, spending money due to the vastly improved facilities.
We don't have figures yet as far as I know but I would imagine there would be a serious hike in our turnover, regardless of the improved crowds and it's all down to facilities for match and , probably more importantly, non match days.
