Seeing as no other Miller has commented I will put my tuppence worth in FWIW.

I thought MK settled well and looked threatening and duly scored with a low cross into the box.
We then scored from a corner and missed three really good chances to bury the game.

An unlucky OG and a comical situation where Halford tries to pass back to the GK and smashes the ball into Thorpe put number 3 on a plate for MK.

The GK Roos, who has been rock solid in the pre-season games, certainly had a nightmare and you could see how it affected him because his kicking which has been very good with both feet deteriorated alarmingly.
I hope this doesn't have too much of a negative effect on him.

We made two half-time changes in an effort to get back into the game but we huffed and puffed had a load of corners but it was game over when MK broke away and got the fourth.

All in all, MK deserved their win, they it looked like a team, whereas with 8 new starters we looked like a bunch of individuals.
MK's midfield kept the ball really well and Carruthers looked head and shoulders the best player on the pitch

I'm certainly not panicking yet, the players we have are better than we had at the start of last season.
We have Buxton, Rawson and Mattock to come into the equation defensively and I think/hope we will get better as they all get to know one another's game.

Finally, well done to MK, a team we have never managed to beat BTW in about 8 attempts, they played some tidy football in midfield and they might surprise a few teams this season.

Interesting what you say about Carruthers, from what I've seen most of our fans thought he had a rather poor game.

If he is the small bald one, people all around me were commenting on how he was running the game.

Yeah he is, wonder why both fans had such opposite views. The opinion was he was trying too hard, giving away the ball to often and generally had a poor game.

Probably shows that we all have preconceived views of our own players and if they are the unfavoured ones they tend to get a raw deal.
