Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix is good. Tailed off towards the end as the evil TV producers evidently demanded a DRAMATIC ARC for the series, but the first 7 or 8 episodes were funny. It's about a woman who escapes her fifteen-year captivity in an underground bunker and decides to make it in the BIG CITY with HUMOROUS RESULTS.

Early Doors is one of my favourite programmes ever. Hilarious and heartwarming. It can't have cost much to make either. The bumbling Eddy has to be among the best clowns I've seen. Everything from gesticulating and grimacing in perfect sync as his wife Joan reels off her pointless stories, shoehorning "Exactamundo!" slightly too late in every conversation, clinging to everyone around him and boring them to death, but actually being one of the most upstanding men around. An incredibly real character. One of my favourites of his is Duffy repeatedly bemoaning that the man his wife's ran off with earns "Forty grand...", then Eddy chips in with "And that's in a year!"

Number one for me.

As close to perfection for a comedy as you can get.

"He had her over a barrel!"

I've not read anything in this thread, all I want to say is that Miranda Hart shouldn't be famous. She is the least funny "comedian" I have ever witnessed. I would pay good money to NOT see her live, or even one of her bland tv showings filled with canned laughter at every chance when a "breast" pun is slipped in somehow.

That is all.

I watched a two minute teaser and knew after about twenty seconds that it was rubbish, if that counts?

I do like Darren Boyd tho. And Alex MacQueen once had his Macbook screen repaired by the IT company I used to work at. We did it a bit wrong (had never done a Mac before) and the bezel was a bit loose but he was still happy with the service.

Did anyone watch The Delivery Man last night? I enjoyed it.

I watched 5 minutes and gave up as it wasn't funny at all.
On another note More4 have a night dedicated to Father Ted now that's tv heaven for me even though i've seen every episode loads of times but they never bore me unlike comedies today.

Mrs Doyle becomes more annoying the more you watch it, but the rest never do and it's always great watching it.

I love Mrs Doyle she's hilarious.
Always skip past her scenes now. Was just watching it a minute ago in Speed 3, with Jack : 'Oi love moi brrrrrrick!' before launching said brick at Ted's head. :D

Since we're nearing the Elections i am watching the 4 series of 'the New Statesman' its abit of a mixed bag but the funny parts are still extremely funny.

and i never know why but Alan B'stard just seems exactly what you think politicians are

Whoever thought W1A needed an hour long special (now with even more self-flagellation!) needs a smack upside the head. This show read too many press clippings and went and disappeared up its own ironically shaped bumhole.

The wee One Show cameos and then the continuity announces trying to play along. LOATHSOME.

Car Share is actually ok. I was doubtful it was going to work but I have enjoyed the first two episodes, even if there were few real laugh moments.

Just finished watching all of Car Share and I really enjoyed it. It started off slowly but really built up as the episodes went on.

It's just banter based stuff but it is pretty funny. Saw episode 3 the other day and Reese Shearsmith was brilliant in it as the fishmonger.

Was flicking through tv channels last night and stumbled across 2 Broke Girls. I recommend giving it a watch. Its possibly the worst programme on television. Machine gun delivered sassy line after sassy line and a huge laughter track when the "wacky" character enters. It was like watching Married with Children only its 2015 not 1995.

It really is quite something.

Just been watching that Early Doors people mentioned here on Youtube it is very much worth a watch.

I think my 2 fave parts so far when they are doing the Quiz and the Question 'what is the Capital of Chile' and that joan says 'is it con-carne' just cracked me up.

but moreso the clip when they are all discussion that Duffy and how they think his Wife has found out about him as she found all the sexy photo's he's taken and keeps of the women he's been sleeping with 'on the sly' and Eddie in asks them all innocent if Duffy can also taken landscape and wedding photo's as he knows someone needs a photographer....before being shot down for being so stupid.

that and the fact I'm 10 episodes into the 12 ep series and they are still going on about the temporary traffic lights

Early Doors is one that I've seen the odd episode of and loved but never gotten around to seeing it all. I'll have to add that to my list.

It's a shame they didn't make more episodes of it as it has it all in terms of the comedy, the writing, acting and characters you like even old Tommy. You wonder why more comedy of this standard isn't made when shit like that Muslim comedy rubbish or Miranda gets so many series.

Choo chooooooo!!!

it'll get there.

you sort've sit and think we never had comedy like we used to, then look at the 90's and it had Red Dwarf, Bottom, One foot, Father Ted etc etc

then you think never had out past that, then look to League of Gentlemen, IT Crowd, Peep Show, etc, etc

They are always being credted, just few and far between thesedays and I think it needs word of mouth to find them.

I'm going to re-watch Operation Good Guys this weekend, a compedy I like, but its very on-off appeal.
