And what about the new Nexus phones? They look pretty impressive.

In terms of OS, I like barebones. But they take it a little too far. Not something I'd completely rule out though.

The screen size look good too. Only reason I went for Note4 over the Nexus is the physical home button. not too keen on the on screen buttons.

Due an upgrade from my Nokia Lumia...

I'm always dropping my phone, like at least twice a day so think an IPhone would be too risky. Ideally a new phone would have a good camera and good sound through headphones, any suggestions?

Official Galaxy S6 hands on. Check out the opening scene at around 9-10 seconds. Damn annoying how much Samsung have made it look like an iPhone, never mind the fact they've also now gone down the non-removable battery and no SD card route. Fucking bandwagon-jumping cowards.

Give it five years and every phone out there will probably be an iPhone replica, and bollocks to imagination and innovative design. Depressing.

I can't believe my Audi R8 is faster than the 1.6 Focus work gave me as a company car.

Must admit, I remember the days when a mobile phone was used for making phone calls. Remember them? I used to have to phone up my ex-wife and tell her my relationship status was now 'Single'. Ah memories.

First phone was an Ericsson GH337. The Ericsson Hernia it would be called today.

You couldn't even send a text on my first phone, both because the phone didn't have the feature and I don't think my network at the time supported it!

I'm also not a fan of the design, the two buttons at the bottom by the home button, the back button often touched accidentally. Don't most right handed people hold the phone in the palm of their right hand and use their thumb to browse, why put a button in that area of the phone?

I've had Samsung phones since 2010 and all have had that design. Not had an issue with it. And given that they have been the best selling phones in the world for the last 3-4 years, I'd say the same probably applies to most other people.

I've recently had both Samsung and iPhone and keep coming back to the iPhone. I really struggled with the Samsung 'keyboard' even with add-on versions. Also, adding stuff seemed to take so long and be so complex. Nothing seemed integrated. Adding stuff with the iPhone just seems so much more straightforward. iPhone still drives me nuts frequently, but not as much as the S4. I have an unlocked S4 gathering dust now.

The reasons you have listed for not liking Android are precisely why so many people do like it. You have far more control and every aspect of the phone can be catered to your tastes. Rather than having Apple tell you what you will like and put up with. Setting the phone up to how you want it might take longer than the 'turn on and simply use it' iPhone, but it's a lot better for it in my view but each to their own.

As for the keyboard, you can do anything you want with it, including install and use a keyboard identical to an iPhone both in looks and functionality. Your issue doesn't appear to be the Android keyboard, more the ones you have used. Samsung's offering has always been shit and it's one of the first things I change.

I agree that the full functionality is exactly the reason I don't like it. I want to pick up the phone and use it, not timer with settings endlessly and 'control every aspect'. I agree..each to their own. I have used several Android phones (usually as a result of irritation with some Apple arrogance or other) but - perhaps sadly - keep returning to the iPhone.

How much do you want for the S4?

Fair enough. If you do end up selling it and no one local wants it then let me know as I might want it.

I have an iPhone 6 - only because I have all of my vids, apps etc with Apple.

I had a play with a note 4 and they are pretty swanky!

I've left O2 after 12 years. Didn't have any particular issue with them but my contract was up and they didn't have much to offer. I'm happy with my phone so sim free was fine. I was paying £28 a month for 8gb and unlimited minutes and texts. Vodafone are offering 10gb with unlimited minutes and texts for £27.50 but crucially with free Spotify Premium. I'm currently paying £10 a month for that so I'm getting more data for over £10 less. I also get a better signal in my house on Vodafone.

I'd pass you your coat but I doubt you removed it in the first place.

Think I mentioned this on TFF but how do people get on with EE?

My Vodafone contract runs out in a couple of weeks and I'd renew, but there's basically little 3G/4G around here with them. EE are the best for coverage.
Ended up going with EE on a sim-only deal in the end. £15.99/month for 2GB data and unlimited texts and minutes.

Wonder if anyone can help. My Samsung Galaxy 4 is really bad at picking wifi up and often when it does it will have poor signal. I can use laptops other peoples phones etc. right next to it and have significantly better service than the S4 or the S4 has none at all. It is the same on every wifi I try. If anyone can fix this it would be seriously appreciated.

Sounds like your WiFi antenna might have picked up a fault. Or it could be the WiFi chip itself.

Have you tried updating the OS via Kies? Or, even better, installing a custom recovery and installing CM12? Just to point out the latter will trip your Knox but, with an S4, your warranty is likely about to end anyway.
