This is the first time I've had problems with it and found that it lasts enough for what I do on it.

Had it since March/April 2013, so I've probably done well to get this far without any problems. I'm just not one for buying new things unless I really have to, so I like to get my monies worth out of it!

The fact so many people still buy iPhones is a credit to Apple's continued ability to convince people they're still worth buying. And even more amazingly, worth an additional premium simply because it has their logo on it. It's really quite some achievement.

Huawei P9 lite or P10 lite will be my next phone, I want to break the vicious circle Apple-Samsung. It's a big step.

On the theme of battery life, what smartphone is known to have the best battery? I don't need anything fancy, nor do I fancy one of those phones with screens the size of your face. I currently have a Moto G (2nd ed) and despite reviews claiming it can last the day easily, this turned out to be a pack of lies.

To be fair that's a very good lifespan for a phone and I think you've got your money out of it. :)

About a month on from my initial post, and it appears to have broken this morning!

Turned it off because I had tried to make a couple of phone calls and I couldn't hear the other person and they couldn't hear me despite the call connecting. Now I turn it on, it stays on the Apple logo for 10 seconds or so then blank screens. Tried the same with it plugged in but same outcome. Last resort is to connect to iTunes when I get home later but I doubt that'll make a difference.

Shame it hasn't dug for another month or so because I think work are paying, or part paying, for new phones around October time and I was hoping to blag one that way!

Trying to see if someone local has a spare iPhone I can borrow.

It's funny watching Apple playing catch up to Samsung. Edge to edge screen? Wow, that's new.

Line up sheep.

Well being called a sheep for the phone you own seems a bit much.

There might be something really obvious I'm completely missing, but what's the crack with going to a Carphone Warehouse over an EE/O2/Vodafone etc?

I'm throwing this out there as an example, but a particular phone contract with EE might be £40/month, yet with someone like Carphone Warehouse or Mobiles it can be £25/month.

What exactly do you pay that extra for with EE?

Got pretty much the same mobile I had before it got stolen. All apps up and running. All is well with the world. Samsung Galaxy J3. Cheap but good (150€).
