This season Guiseley will be punished for WHAT THEY DID.

Looking forward to being bottom of the league before everyone else even kicks off.

No idea what to expect from our lot, first step into the unknown, it's all very positive at the moment, something that you're never quite used to as a Pools fan, new team, new manager and new owner, sure that optimism will be smashed to bits when we get piped away from home infront of 500 fans.

Strong start would do lovely, 3-1 Pools, wish this week would hurry up and finish :cool1:

Expecting an extremely tough start away at Wrexham, even though we've generally been quite succesful there. We'll probably struggle to score against what looks like an impressive defensive unit on paper, with at least two of Boden, Holroyd and Mackreth scoring, as is tradition.

It'll be 2-2. Usually is.

After watching the friendlies, Boden is a lot better than I realised, a good striker. Wedgbury is the other one who has impressed me, he's class.

Anything better than a defeat away at Dagenham is a fantastic result for us. As mentioned elsewhere, we're not a very settled side at all and could struggle badly at first.

I'm pretty confident we will beat Macc for once. But it won't be comfortable. Something like 2-1.

Some of our fans will then make us CHAMPIONS ELECT. until we lose 1-0 at Maidenhead on the Tuesday and we are nailed on for relegation.

Wedge will be great for you, when he became available I was very keen for us to sign him up and i'm fairly sure Askey tried.

There's a been a few 2-2s but it's the frequent 3-2s that stand out:

-Danny Thomas's last minute cross going straight in to win it, with you getting an odd red card off the ball
-Connor Jennings "slow" hattrick; penalty after seconds and last minute headed winner
-Extremely wet game at your place with some decent goals by us both

If we want to be winning the league we can't just go taking draws anymore.

As long as we win about 33 games around draws the odd one at difficult places is acceptable, its at home where we cannot drop points.

If we can't win at places like Torquay, we won't win the league.

Eastleigh have been a bogey club for us, but with the new signings playing some sexy attacking football, we should start the season with a win.

I've still got a hangover from the Wembley fiasco. 3-2 for Torquay with Tranmere's lack of mobility at the back proving costly!

Well I'd have to say football is football and talent is talent, but the mindset of your team makes the world of difference. Good luck & have fun, and may the best team win

I think you're playing us at a good time. Sparkes, Nunn and Adams have been injured throughout pre-season whilst the team hasn't blended properly yet. I think we could struggle for a few weeks at the beginning until we find the right side.

You're not playing the Tranmere card this early on are you?
Seriously though, almost a quarter of our squad is unavailable to start with, and still players trialling - I'd be surprised if you were as unprepared.

Looking forward to a solid but unspectacular 7-0* win.
