Notts County, Long Eaton United
Fylde v Solihull Moors
Aldershot v Dag & Red
Barrow v Notts County
Chorley v Chesterfield
Dover v Yeovil
Halifax v Woking
Hartlepool v Ebbsfleet
Maidenhead United v Boreham Wood
Stockport v Barnet
Sutton United v Torquay
Wrexham v Eastleigh
Harrogate v Bromley (5:20pm)

There are quite a few big matches this weekend……

Barrow v Notts is possibly the pick of the ties (but luckily BT didn’t think so) The Bluebirds look to be coasting to League 2 and it will take a monumental effort now for anyone other than Harrogate to catch them. This could well be Notts’ only chance to drag them back in.
They will have to do a lot better than the reverse fixture at Meadow Lane where Barrow was the best side to visit us and one of only 2 to beat us, well give us a right spanking!
Both sides have stuttered over the last 6 but Barrow have held on to their promotion PPG. The 2-1 win at Fylde was Notts first of the year and means that going into the game its W2 D2 L2 Barrow have won one more and lost one less in that period.
The homeside haven’t lost at Holker Street since the beginning of September and only conceded 7 goals since (scoring 29!). It will be a struggle especially as Notts had the long trip to the west coast on Tuesday and head back up that way again.
But, the win Tuesday was a gritty affair and also tactical changes paid off, we also have a couple of first team players back and possibly another defender returning.
Quigley and Rooney are still hitting the back of the net but Notts now have Thomas, Wooton and Wilson at their disposal (oh and Dennis, soz Denno!) Prediction 1-1

Yeovil have also struggled recently but could the win against Wrexham mean they have turned the corner; they will hope to cement their playoff position with a win at mid table Dover. It’s the hosts who have the best form going into the game having won 3 lost 3. Yeovil have just 1 win in 6. There could well be some goals in this as both sides know where the back of the net is and they have the NL 2nd and 3rd top goalscorers in Murphy and Effiong respectively. Prediction 3-2 win for Yeovil

Barnet’s only problem going up the table is actually playing games, their home pitch has taken a battering and if it was in Scotland you’d have it next to your chips. IF they win their games in hand they are possible the outsiders to grab a playoff spot. Having won 5 of the last 10 and only losing 1 they are most definitely one of the big movers at the moment. Stockport, their hosts this weekend are the complete opposite, baring the last 3, Won 2, Drew 1 they have been far too inconsistent to push on. Saying that they have only lost to sides above them in those games so maybe there’s the glimmer they need? Prediction 1-1

The late live game sees Harrogate take on Bromley, Town could go within 2 points of leaders Barrow with a win. The hosts have lost only once in the last 10, winning 8 banging in 21 goals in the process including 10 in the last 3. They are also showing signs of never giving in having had a ding dong of a match at Chesterfield eventually scoring in injury time to win 4-3! They don’t have any real golden boots in their ranks but they do have goals from all over the pitch. When talking about form Bromley do not have it, 7 defeats in the last 8, accumulating just 7 points from a possible 30 they will do well to stay within touching distance of the playoffs. But this league is tight and with all that they are only 3 off 7th. Prediction 2-0 win Harrogate

At the bottom Chesterfield will be looking to break out of the bottom 4 with a win at Chorley, new manager Pemberton has dragged them up from what looked like relegation winning 4 of the 7 games he has been in charge. However, in those fixtures 5 of them were against sides around them. Chorley look dead and buried unfortunately, their last win was at the end of November and they failed to score in 7 of the games since then. One thing in the visitors favour is they have played all of the top 6 now. Prediction 3-0 Chesterfield win.

Tuesdays games will follow Saturdays results.

I can't argue with the Harrogate v Bromley prediction as Bromley are dire at present.
I do think Dover could beat Yeovil though, which would actually put Dover above them and could put Yeovil out of the play off places.
Chorley v Chesterfield on form should be an away win - the only danger for Chesterfield could be the players thinking they are world beaters after so nearly getting a point off Harrogate and underestimating Chorley because of that.
Ebbsfleets mini revival should come to a crashing halt with a thumping at Hartlepool - although a shock Ebbsfleet win could put them within 2 points of Maidenhead who should lose at home to Boreham Wood.
As for Barrow v Notts County - a few things are nearly certain - it's March, but it will be cold, will be wet, will probably be windy and wont end 0-0...

Should be a comfortable home win against Ebbsfleet but they’re another team we’ve never beaten down here and this is Pools. We’re missing Southam-Hales on loan from Fleetwood. He’s so good we can’t even remember Peter Kioso. Hopefully Kenton Richardson doesn’t come in to replace him, rather see Donaldson move to RB and bring in Holohan instead.

Surely it‘s time for the club to reduce the 20 quid in? Great opportunity to show the floating voters what we’re trying to do..

Definitely the toughest of the remaining home games which starts a very difficult run in. I'll go for the same score prediction as Long Eaton.

Stockport away followed by Woking away on Tuesday and then Yeovil away next Saturday :eye:

We have got to pick up at least 4 points from those three games to make up ground / stay in contention.

It might help us on Saturday if Stockport's pitch is better than our bog. And if McCallum continues to score in every game we will certainly have a chance.

My best guess would be a narrow home win or a draw in our standard low scoring affair. And I would certainly take a point.

That's the right idea for me, Kenton isn't an attacking fullback in any sense, shoe horning him in to play like Southam-Hales wouldn't work, the only other obvious change I'd make is Keena in for Harker, can't keep a goalscorer benched.

Let's go for the throat from the off, need to win at least 4 of our final 5 home games to be in with a shout.

Obviously I don’t see as much as you but I’d keep Harker in. We need the ball to stick up top as they’ll defend in numbers. Keena is very much a fox in the box type, don’t think his hold up play is up to much. Definitely an impact player for me or as a poacher in a 442. We’d have to change the system to have him in from the start.

Harker has played well and doesn't half put himself about but I don't like the idea of leaving someone who scored in the last game out of the starting 11 and honestly I'd much rather see us develop a young player that is going to be here next season than a loanee, but that just might be me, I wouldn't be bothered either way whoever starts tomorrow.

We’ve won at Harrogate, Halifax, Yeovil (okay cheating a bit there), Boreham Wood and Solihull, so might as well complete the top seven set. ;)

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Shots home to Daggers. Wish I could get enthusiastic about this one, but hoping for a decent game of football. Rather fear attendance drop tomorrow, but then , it will happen everywhere. Mind you, will give those that stand a chance to spread out.. 3-1 shots, another lurch towards safety.

Good work LEP.

I fancy us to nick a point at Barrow, based on nothing whatsoever. I would happily take that with back-to-back home games against Aldershot and Eastleigh coming up next.

yep he looks like he is

Yeah, knackered himself a couple of weeks ago. Courtney Duffus got back in the goals with a worldie last weekend and we'll be looking to him to lead the line alongside up and coming strikers Dagnall and Richards.

Halifax is nobodys cup final. Its one of those games you want to get out of the way in August. Just a another AFC outfit living in a huge ground designed for another sport. You'd need 5000 in there to get the place jumping,

In our first visit there in 1993 we got attacked outside walking up the hill by loons lobbing traffic cones at us and punching an elderly Woking fan to the ground

I also remember the game we won 4-0 when you had two sent off and one of your loons ran on the pitch to attack the ref

Our record their isn't too bad though. I do admire the way you cling onto this bizarre 'MASSIVEFAX' thing and for some reason claim to be an ex league club. FC Halifax Town have never played league football.

On the plus side the pubs are good to go to and the locals seem to have calmed down a bit now which makes things a little better for away fans

We have sutton away. Hopefully they will have a few sore limbs after Halifax in midweek. Johnson has had them training on artificial pitch this week so should not be a problem. Close game but think we will just nick a victory 2-1 and around 300 happy Gulls heading back home

Been to Halifax several times and never had a problem. Great pubs, nice people. Always stay overnight to make the trip easier. Looking forward to my April visit.
Must just be teams who have never, ever been in the football league they get funny with.

Would be absolutely bloody typical for Chorley to do the double of us. If they do we deserve to go down.

Call Doris at the FA for clarification, she’ll confirm the above and send one of her used panties as a thank you for the enquiry.

If nothing else there should be a good atmosphere at Holker Street, we've sold just under 2000 tickets apparently.
Would take a point all day long.

Our pitch has held up very well throughout all the bad weather.

We have a few injuries and have been awful going forward for the last couple of months. Surprisingly we’ve added nobody this week so we’ll need to keep a clean sheet if we want to take something from this.
