Good point today. Sounded like a bit of a topsy turvy game with a draw perhaps about right overall.

Our recent record against Woking is a rather comical DWDLDDDDDDD.

If we maintain that incredible draw ratio on Tuesday, we will continue to sit 4 points off the top 7, where we seem to have been stuck for the past six months.

We have drawn far too many games this season and with our history against Woking, it seems like a safe prediction once again.

No reason why we shouldn’t be able to. Our pitch will have had two weeks of preparation, the weather looks like it’s settling down and it’s getting warmer this week too.

We will have a much better chance of beating Barrow if Quigley doesn’t play so the ground staff had better make sure the game goes ahead!

That draw at The Hive earlier in the season still annoys me. In the middle of our 13 game run without a win as well.

If we’re gonna have a shot at the playoffs we really need to win on Tuesday. It’s gonna rest on our home games as I can’t see us picking up much away from home.

Home: Barnet, Dagenham, Chesterfield, Dover and Flyde

Away: Aldershot, Harrogate, Solihull and Barrow

Absolute game of two halves. We should have been buried first half, penalty miss was very costly.
Second half Quigley made a pointless out of control challenge and got a deserved red, we made substitutions, and the wind wasn't blowing a gale in our faces.
it was like kids football first half when we couldn't get it clear with the wind blowing it back.
Roberts and Wooton made a difference, width and better hold up play from them.
Thought Barrow were strong ,direct and confident but definitely ran out of ideas without Quigley.

We'll see how Barrow cope with the pressure now, the gap to Harrogate looks bridgable.

We were dire in that game, couldn't believe we got anything out of that.

We are a much better side now. We need to start turning draws into wins. Tuesday should be entertaining.

Notts were dreadful in the first half - I get the conditions weren't favourable but there were plenty of ground passes going astray. We weren't much better but should have been 1-0 up at the very least.

Second half looked to be a repeat story for the first ten minutes until Quigley stupidly got himself sent off and we seemed like we felt sorry for ourselves, lost any form of organisation and Notts took full advantage with two soft goals and that was that. It's worrying that we seemed to lose our heads from that point onwards. Dan Jones' introduction and Brad Barry's absence for the last few games seems to have upset what's been a well organised defence and wing back system. Six weeks ago we wouldn't have capitulated like that after going a man down.

The only pleasing thing that happened today was Harrogate's failure to take advantage at home to a massively out of form Bromley. Hopefully that late own goal is a mental kick in the teeth for them given that it looked almost certain they'd close the gap to two points at 5 o clock.

The Wrexham game on Saturday will be a key indicator as to how the run in will go IMO.

Aye, had the feeling of game over today.

On the alleged racist comment, Poolies all over Twitter saying nowt happened. The Dover game people said it did and it did, I'm inclined to believe it didn't today as no one else reacted apart from him. It was a heated atmosphere and their antics second half riled the crowd up. Generally is it too easy for players to make stuff up? I hate racism and can't stand any form of discrimination based on skin colour but it seems everyone knows how volatile the Vic can be and exploit that to precision. Obviously if summat was said and the evidence suggests so then we deserve to be punished. But on this occasion, until I hear differently I don't reckon there was.

At the dover game , the Hartlepool players heard the comments and joined the Dover players in protests on the field . Would be surprised if it did happen again , but then it Ebbsfleet , didn't they try this last year somewhere

More racist allegations to deal with also, though McGlashan was the only one to hear it apparantly, the physio stood next to him didn't react to anything, I hope he's not making it up.

Ebbsfleet are comfortably the biggest collection of shithouses I've ever seen down here, time wasting from kick off, rolling around like fannies, it's all they have, team is fucking rubbish and I hope/wish they go down.

Ultimately though, despite this we just weren't good enough, Molyneux stunk the house down, worst I've seen him, Keena missed a sitter from 6 yards out, headed straight at the keeper and Toure did his best to chuck it away with what looked like a stupid tackle to give

Season over.

The linesman was also stood next to the player & physio, but never reacted.
If something was said, surely he'd have brought it to the so called refs attention?
It's bullshit, but an easy accusation to throw around.
I don't suppose anything will be said about the keeping being told by the stewards to stop goading fans, one thier players throwing the ball in tbe crowd, hitting a young fan in the face,or one if them calling fans worse than shit.
I had a soft spot for Fleet because if the financial problems, not now though.
If they went tits up,i wouldn't give a toss.

Thats a good point.
One of our coloured players had to be restrained when he went for a Fleet player over this.

Ashmore has tried it 5+ times when he was playing for Ebbsfleet. None of those times were proven.

I always thought Hartlepool fans were a jolly bunch who got dressed up as smurfs at the end of the season.

The fact that they apparently double up as the north-eastern branch of Combat 18 comes as quite a shock.

We're in limbo re: our squad. A lot of good, solid part time lads who helped us get out of the North but really if we want to challenge for the top spots next year we need 5 or 6 more of the quality of Liam Hogan who is an oustanding player. When a team like Barnet can come and get a point off you, it re-inforces the improvements we will intend to make in the summer.

Fantastic win for us yesterday, and even more pleasing that the goals came from two young prospects that are actually ours, ie not loanees. Been a while since we actually had first team players others might have their eyes on.

Up to 3rd if we beat Aldershot at home on Tuesday, but would be typical Notts to slip up!

‘Team like Barnet’

That’s arrogance approaching Barrow levels!

Ridiculous from Quigley.

Also what a dive for Woking's penalty yesterday, surprised the chief idiot hasn't been banging on about that. Or maybe he just doesn't go to games. Refereeing is just the pits at this level.

And Nathan Ashmore never lets you down does he

Not really. If I was a team endeavourng to win this league, I wouldn't want a team like us getting a point either. It was two mid table teams in action yesterday.

Think it was against Chesterfield, remember the Chesterfield fans on here saying nothing racist was said and I don’t think it was proven in the end.

What?
Ok,black then for gods sake.
I was going to say that, but thought it would be picked up on,so said coloured instead thats all.
Get a bloody life.

It's a verbal minefield out there. I wouldn't have used the word because it's become verboten but it doesn't mean you have a problem. Queer was verboten but now it seems LGBT and Q is now a thing. The N word can be used but only by black people to each other, to me it sounds horrible then too, the association's with a word whose literal translation is black just too rude to say or write.
I think there is a cultural divide between university, metropolitan cities and towns in the sticks but is 'no platforming ' a moderate and liberal Amber Rudd by the enlightened intelligentsia arguably a far worse thing than mis-using the word coloured without any intention to cause offence?

Quigley tackle looks much worse on video than it did at the time, definite red. Clear handball for the penalty too, so you’d have to say justice was done with the result. ;)

Lovely goal by Cal Roberts for the second. He’s going to be massive for the run in.

That's the last I'll write on O/T , I've more or less given up on Notts Mad because of politics and the rest of it and now gone and done the thing I can't stand on here which is a blessed haven for the reasonable and supporters of other teams whose views i really enjoy reading.

Looked a red from the opposite end straight away to me, would have been a red thirty years ago, no idea why he did it, it wasn't a bad tempered game, just competitive.

Roberts, Wooton, Lacey, Rawlinson and increasingly Crawford look like being key men for the run in.
Grave doubts about the keeper though.

Shows how far we have let our standards slip when we consider a point at Stockport as acceptable. Plus you lot had such fun in your cup final at the Hive last year in the Cup I thought we were the big fish you were all after..... If you are just part timers you are actually doing well for your first season back.
