only 4 games this weekend;-

Chesterfield v Wrexham
Bromley v Solihull
Dagenham v Stockport
Hartlepool v Aldershot.

Chesterfield v Wrexham looks the most important match. A Wrexham win will see them up to 42 points and the heady heights of 15th and should ease nearly all fears they have of relegation. A defeat for Chesterfield would however see them staying only 3 points clear of Fylde but having played 3 games more than the frackers.... Chesterfield actually played quite well at Notts last week until the 2nd Notts goal went in ans should have been 1-0 up before Notts scored. I really think if Chesterfield lose this there's a 50-50 chace they will go down.

Bromley v Solihull is a match between 2 out of form teams, but 2 teams who have to win to have any realistic chances of staying in the play off hunt. Bromley at home on the plastic pitch should run tings around Solihull's rugby players. Home win.

Dagenham v Stockport and Hartlepool v Aldershot are hard to call, bur defeats for either Stockport or Hartlepool and they can forget about the play offs without putting a very good run together...

Fail to see how Aldershot are going to deal with the best passing side in the league (statistically true)

So fuck off Barra. You long ball c***.

We should be rewarded for trying to play total football in this hellhole league of cloggers and hoofers.

As for the game, let’s just get these next two wins as quick as possible so we can focus on rebuilding the team for next season, hoping Molyneux gets a start tomorrow and sounds like Killip the hologram might be in goal so we’re probably going to concede.

yes - i watched the match and despite the 3-0 scoreline they created a fair amount of chances - even Denton managed to hit the bar at 1-0. And missing a penalty at 0-0 does count as should have been 1-0 up...

How did you set that to auto re-post every year since 2017? It's running UFN (until further notice) I expect? You're so clever. :bdick:

I think ‘played quite well’ is pushing it. Penalty aside, we’d hit the post twice at 0-0 and I always thought it was pretty much a matter of time, seemed to be the impression from Ches fans as well.

Depends which Aldershot turns up.Misfiring forwards and flakey defence are a cert for the mincer. On a good day ,we play some good stuff, and will give you a game.
Realistically, we don’t travel well long distance, so 3-1 ‘pools.

How is Robbie Tinkler doing? Seems to be talking himself up a move to us in the summer.

Erratic, has good games and a fair number of ‘mares. Great attitude ,though. Think he might be missing “up north”. He’s sure to be playing tomorrow (we’ve got no-one else ); hope he has a good one.

nice of Wrexham to let Chesterfield score in the 25th minute for Jordan Sinnott

When do we find out how many are going down from this division?

Surely it will only be 3, there's no way Bury should or even can be in a place to come into this league.

That was the coldest most boring 2-0 win I’ve ever witnessed, Aldershot were very poor, we missed at hat full of chances in the second half, most in the six yard box.

Draw probably fair at Daggers. Both teams had good chances first half. 2nd half, I thought we were starting to edge it and Stockport looked like they were settling for a point and hoping to hit on the counter once they took off Bell. But then Weston got injured about 10 minutes after coming on and we had to change gameplan and shape which completely hit us. Stockport sensed this and started to commit more bodies forward. Thought they'd killed us with the sucker punch at the end but then we managed to strike home after some poor defending.

I think we'll be ok but I'm not liking how tight it is down at the bottom. Realistically anybody from Sutton down could drop. I expect Chesterfield and Fylde to push the safety tally to the low to mid 50s this year. My gut feeling is still that Aldershot might be the guys to drop with Fylde. Wouldn't rule out Wrexham though.

Is it not going to be just three down though, Lee? There's not a chance Bury should be accepted into this league. They're nowhere near in a position too as far as I know anyway.

Sounds like a bit of a drab affair today. I'm grateful for the points we have because I think we're a pretty poor team. A couple more wins and hopefully we can start buidling a more competitve team for next season.

No surprises there, we are grateful that you blew so many chances. We are hopeless, and thankful that only 3 are going down, which may just save us.
Robbie Tinkler is available for a small fee ,payable in monthly instalments.....

Hopefully but don’t want to rely on a formality just in case.

It wasn’t actually a bad game to be honest. Seen far worse this season although maybe that’s indicative of the league

I thought Bettamer played well and looked the most likely to cause us problems until he went off injured, put in a bit of a shift in the time he was on but looked like he was maybe missing a strike partner to play alongside him.

I think any interest we had in Tinker will have ended today.

We’re poor Stockport weren’t really much better. This league is so crap now, anyone that can’t get out of it upwards should be throughly ashamed and disbanded.
