You'd think they wouldn't be that arsed about the pitch considering the ball is 50-foot up in the air for the majority of the game.

If we don't get promoted, it'll be because tinpot outfits are too afraid to play us on form.

as there apparently hasn't been much rain for the last few days in Solihull it does make you wonder how much they wanted the game off given McCullam was likely to be out of the game

Over in the East Midlands it's only really just stopped raining since early Friday morning. Games all over the place locally off.
Think it's probably very wet all over if not waterlogged.
Not saying who but a club used to postpone games to protect the pitch for the colder matches, to avoid more gamea off.

Yeah, I think everyone else is just joking too. Bit frustrating though as most of our players won't have played for nearly three weeks by Boxing Day, which ruins our momentum.

Plus we miss out on the BT millions for the match not being on.

Big game for us, and it’ll be interesting to see what Ardley does with the team.

I would drop Doyle, but he won’t, so he has to resist the temptation to bring Mitch Rose straight back in. JOB being injured again complicates it, but just means Regan Booty has to be one of the two starting central midfielders. Sam Osborne, Kristian Dennis and Alex Lacey are probably all worth a start as well, as a minimum. Ardley will lose even more support if he just reverts back to his favoured XI which keeps losing even after making wholesale changes for the Trophy and actually winning a game.

Who would you start today who came in for the FA Trophy game.

Yes a win but another uninspiring performance

Isn't Regan Booty meant to be out injured? - if so you'll be stuck with Rose and Doyle and everyone knows how that will go.....

Aldershot v Stockport
Aldershot are really struggling to score goals and low on confidence - the same can't be said of Stockport - AWAY banker
County haven't won at Aldershot since the dawn of time, despite 25 visits, so I don't think it's that clear cut.

Anyway, our last four results have been 1-4, 5-1, 4-2, 4-2... so I'm going to plump for a 0-0

We’re badly missing a striker, playing well up to the box then it all goes apart

1-0 down HT. Radio commentary very impressed with Fylde who seem to have 5 yards of space whenever they come forward. Own goal on 35 minutes doubly disappointing as it came from our corner after we'd just started to get into the game.

Ardley sticking rigidly to his ‘never change a losing team’ beliefs here. Osborne and Dennis had the cheek to actually combine to do a goal last week so obviously one’s dropped from the squad completely and the other will get the last 12 minutes off the bench.

Thank goodness we are back to losing ways. I was getting worried for a minute.

Much better second half performance undone by a second goal on the counter for Fylde. Felt like game over but 2 in a minute by Duffus with the second handed on a plate by their goalkeeper and momentum shifted back to us. Fylde a little fortunate to hang on by the end, but a draw was probably a fair result.

County's defeat at Aldershot hinged on a bizarre refereeing moment, equalised just before the hour mark and were pushing to take the lead, Aldershot put the ball in the net against the run of play but liner gives it offside. No arguments and every trudges off, ref goes over to the liner, has a long chat then gives the goal. Wind completely knocked out of County's sails after that.

Absolutely cursed, that place
