We are so weird. Second half was as well as we’ve played all season, scored four and could’ve had double that. Just do that more you dicks.

Best performance of the season so far from us. Currie seems to have hit on a system that works for us.
The Maidenhead fans seemed to be aggrieved at some calls not going their way in our area but I didn’t see anything other than the normal tussles you get when defending a cross into the box.
They are an incredibly limited team and I wonder if they’ll get sucked into trouble later on this season.

I'm amazed they haven't been sucked in already to be honest. They seem to lose every week only to then run into a side in the middle of an even worse run of form than them (Dagenham, Ebbsfleet and lately Dover). Only decent win since September was a 1-0 win against Solihull where they scored in the 90th minute. I'm surprised because they looked a solid, organised team against us in August and justified their lofty position in the playoffs.

Big win for us today. Comfortable performance helped by Wrexham heads dropping after we took the lead. Up to 17th and 4 points above the relegation zone

I'm expecting Maidenhead to get sucked in. A squad with little width or pace and overloaded with defenders while there is very little quality in midfield or attack.

Lining up with a midfield 4 containing 3 CMs and a full back says it all really. And that wasn't a makeshift midfield - that's the first choice midfield 4. A significant chunk of the budget has been wasted on forwards who are just not good enough for this level (Cassidy, Mensah, Akintunde) or injury prone (Fenelon).

It's bizarre as the NL South winning team of 16/17 was built on quality wingers (Pritchard, Barratt) and pace up top (Tarpey).

I think defensive organisation was key to the good early season form as other teams were still working themselves out, as well as the quality of Josh Smile's performances in midfield, which have since fallen off a cliff.

Mensah is plenty good enough for this level, you’ve got to use him right, not just boot the ball over his head and expect him to chase it. Agree about Fenelon though.

To me it looks like injuries have ruined Mensah, he sees a fair bit of the ball but looks totally unwilling to take anyone on. Every time he plays he looks like he's in first gear. Fenelon at least looks effective when he plays, even if he is made of glass.

We have well and truly gone to crap. Tactics and team selections baffling and the players don’t look interested. Would be happy to just stay up at this rate

Width of the pitch is a disgrace anyway.

Fair enough, one of his strengths for us was his ability to beat a man. Shame, he’s a good lad and should have had a chance to make a go of it higher up.

Not to mention Dev continuing to play a hopelessly inadequate Ryan Upward.
I think Cassidy has been OK and works really hard, but needs more support.

Upward was definitely on a downward trend today.
I have to say that it’s impossible to read red numbers on a black and white striped jersey.
I enjoyed my visit to York Road today though, a friendly and quirky ground.

Many radio commentators this season have said they can't read the back of the shirts.

Upward was a good player a couple of years ago but injuries have taken their toll.

County's defeat at Aldershot hinged on a bizarre refereeing moment, equalised just before the hour mark and were pushing to take the lead, Aldershot put the ball in the net against the run of play but liner gives it offside. No arguments and every trudges off, ref goes over to the liner, has a long chat then gives the goal. Wind completely knocked out of County's sails after that.

Absolutely cursed, that place

Two or three of our players (Bettamer included) ran straight to the linesman pointing at their head, suggesting one of your defenders played it last, which would make him onside. Felt a strange one as I dont remember the ball being deflected but will have to watch the highlights.

Defended from the first whistle to the last, no intention of attacking, easily the worst side I’ve seen here this season.
The 2 'shots' they did manage were quite laughable.
The worst side I've seen for a long time.
Wouldn't surprise me if they were relegated.

A classic Peter Taylor side in other words..

Didn't even front up to the media afterwards, sent out a coach who did his best to put a spin on things, they apparently had 4 very good counter attacks? Quigley got through once, I must've missed the rest.

Taylor has not been in the dug out for weeks as he had a knee replacement. How he still has a job though is beyond every Daggers fan.
One thing I can say though is we have horrible injuries. Not an excuse but it is a contributing factor. We were 8th in this poor league before they hit us.
