See that Todd at Beastleigh has replaced North as assistant manager with Ben Strevens, currently part way through a 7 match ban for spitting.

Second only to FGR in the "top lads" reckoning.

So we've ruled out Steve Burr and judging by Colin Gordon's comments on who the next manager is he's a manager who has both experience at this level the North and in the league and is currently under a contract until the end of the season. So by a bit of research I put it down to Jim Gannon or maybe Andy Morrell.

Surely they can't prise Ganninho away from Stockport.

I've heard this mysterious bloke is currently at a league club.

Any of those three mentioned above and we can already raise questions of our ambitions next season despite our 'top six budget'. The way around this, and to give the place a buzz is to bring back Saint Steven.

Our shortlist meant to be down to 6 by the weekend when our South African board member arrives back in the country and then three of those to be interviewed.

Ex player Ian Foster is now apparently one of the favourites to get the job.

Bit left field and looking at his wikipedia page he didnt exactly set the world alight in the Irish League with Dundalk and Galway United. Looks like a cheap option.

Managed to help Galway survive through their financial issues. And is currently working at Portsmouth as a first team coach an they are secured in the playoffs so he'd getting decent experience there. He might end up being a decent appointment but not one I'd be too thrilled about at first.

And 3 names becomes 2.

"He has whittled down his shortlist to two and hinted that they are currently working at other clubs.
He added: “I am hoping to get something done before the end of the season.

“I want someone who knows the level of football we are playing in and has the right contacts.

“But I also want a manager who has the coaching badges, has experience of the Football League, so it’s the right mix.

“Those sort of managers are not easy to find and that’s why I have been taking my time over it.”

Taking his time over someone who has turned out to be a direct link with his former agency...like Hockaday. :brill:

Eustace could be an inspired appointment.

He's definitely a likeable character and very much a leader, which is obviously a good mixture. I think spending a couple of years under McClaren will have helped him now how he wants to coach and run training sessions, but he'll definitely have his own management style.

It's a good chance for him, and I think Kidderminster have chosen the right 'type'. I imagine he'll be asking about our under 21 players, too, which could open the door to a few very good loan players for them.
