Easily the better team, far more energy/legs - suspect Ardley’s decision to go with Turner over Rawlinson will be haunting him for some time.

Fair play Harrogate, doubt any Notts fan would say they don’t deserve it - enjoy the FL next season. Better team by far apart from a 20 min spell at the start of the 2nd half where if we’d scored again it might have been a different story.

As for us, expect us to be there or there abouts again next season to be honest. Especially if we can hang onto Roberts/Boldewijn/Dennis etc.

We go again!

Please no more close ups of Simon Weaver and that unexplained eyebrow arrangement he's got.

We’re two or three away - as good as Doyle, Turner and O’Brien have been in their careers, today showed that against a good team you can’t carry that many players at the end of their careers.

Is next season the last with parachute payments? Forgot how it works.

They'll get 250k next season. Like they got awarded 500k this for the achievement of being relegated.

Can’t argue with the result, but I feel for the County fans, recalling how gutted I was after our equally deserved defeat at the hands of FGR. Hope like Rovers you can win it next year or go one better and win the NL.

I’m disappointed, but not even really gutted with the circumstances. Just not the same with none of us there, just hope we can go to a Notts game again soon to be honest.

I think it will only get harder for County weirdly enough, good effort this season though, lost to the better team.

Oh well, the owners hadnt planned for an immediate return to the FL this season so it was a bonus to be in the POs. We were awful in the first 30 minutes and only really had a 15 minute spell in the 2nd were we could have levelled. Harrogate deserved winners.

Pleased for Muldoon and Weaver ex Imps and Bradley who is/was on loan there from us.

Really delighted Notts are staying down for a second season in the NL, especially for Joshmeowd, enjoy it!

Wahey! Just what we need. Fucking bandwagoners.

There's a 2 or max 3 year window for clubs to get back up, after that it is a real struggle.

They'll be up there again, but Harrogate are the best side I've seen since we've been here so you can't begrudge them promotion, unfortunately.

We effectively had no club about four days before the season, without wanting to sound like Ardley it’s pretty astonishing that we ended up where we did.

That said, he’s now got some tough choices to make and needs to be brave in doing so.

No idea Conks to be honest. The consolation is after years of basket cases we seem to have decent owners at last, and the core of good squad, so we’ll see

In fairness the quality of the league appears to be markedly lower than it was 5 or so years ago

I don’t see Stevenage/macclesfield causing any problems

Doesn't matter.

There are more bankrolled clubs now who can easily hoover up the better players.

Wages haven't gone down with the quality. Overheads increase year on year.

The bottom sides have also got better.

Notts biggest problem now might be keeping hold of Roberts

Can't complain about that gentle tonking.
Really poor from us, Ben Turner had a shocker but the lack of pace and energy in midfield looks a problem that's going to need new players to fix.
Well done Harrogate.

Harrogate far and away the better side, Notts had a good 20 mins in second half then the introduction of Stead really settled Harrogate again, he holds ball well and frees up the runners. Congratulations to Harrogate.

We’d do well to have him next season, but equally he cost us a nominal fee about ten games ago and I doubt we’d entertain anything below £1m so.

Bar a 15 min period I thought that Harrogate were superb, very impressive.

Great energy, constant closing down. Two tidy finishes from two great crosses. After Robert's free kick, they understandably lost their way a bit and went into their shell and an equaliser looked likely.

However that would have been unwarranted at that point. Conceding the goal obviously hurts, the defending for the 2nd was plain awful. Harrogate's tactic of getting in the channels and runners from deep/wings worked a treat and could have had 3 before Half Time.

As mentioned better side deservedly won comfortably, which I prefer to a bad ref decision costing us the game or an undeserved daylight robbery defeat.

Ardley has next season to get us promoted, or I'd want a change. Today was a free hit in my eyes, hardly anyone comes straight back as history shows and no true Notts supported predicted or expected it

He's a fantastic player, absolutely no doubt about it, as he demonstrated with his playoff goals and the one he got at ours. Not sure about the length of his contract but when you realise this is the last year of parachute payments he will be going for considerably less than that should the interest be there.

If I was a L2/L1 club with some cash , I'd be making an offer and soon.

Very impressive youngster reminds me of Alan Judge

I do realise Vardy went for about £1m but that must be an exception surely. Pilley could ask for whatever he wanted considering he could just plough in his pocket money.
