Would love to see Concord promoted. Small fan base but they're punching above their weight.

Truro promoted fwiw

With any luck they sink to oblivion with Danny Cowley gone.

Yeah I don't think they'll be missed by many.

Will we be getting Oxford in this league or someone else? Ideas?

Oxford City or Lowestoft. Gloucester City as an outside bet.

oblivion? you mean their natural level. To be fair to Canvey Island's 2nd team they are an amazing story, even more so to still be in this division, no reason they can't obtain mid-table mediocrity next season.
Intriguing division next season. Do the Maidstone fans feel a challenge brewing? Can see the Kent teams up the top end, Ebbsfleet most likely to have the strongest challenge. $hitehawk surely favourites if they don't go up.

Maidenhead United will name their new manager this week (they won the Berks and Bucks Cup yesterday). Next season looks tougher, there aren't many clubs that look like basket cases who will definitely be relegated...

And it seems like Alan Devonshire is the favourite for the Maidenhead job.

Admittedly oblivion was harsh, I'm still vengeful after that playoff defeat and their chairman is a headcase of the highest order, but other than that I've got nothing against them. Their natural level is probably Step 3 these days.

We're going to have to recruit well this summer to avoid any relegation drama, we'll definitely be after Connor Calcutt if he's released from Stevenage (wouldn't surprise me if St. Albans and Hemel try and sign him either).

Not right at the top, no. Top ten finish is what I'd be aiming at. Plus of course, since the Conference has moved the goalposts re 3G, we'd probably be spending at least one more year at this level anyway.

I think (and hope) so, Oxford is a much more attractive trip than Lowestoft. Plus Lowestoft to Truro is like going from Maidstone to Glasgow, I don't think they'd do that.

Well up for Truro away. That and Maidstone away will be the first fixtures I look for.

I too wouldn't be bothered about seeing Concord go down. Don't really like them to be honest.

And as for Whitehawk or Boreham Wood being in the top division of non league next season... the thought of it makes me sick.

Whitehawk have averaged 259 and Boreham Wood 313. I don't know if that's an improvement, but god help us all if it is :ffs::sur:

Hardly surprising - its a hot bed of Arsenal and Spurs fans (Boreham Wood)

Also if the prices for a Pre-season game are anything to go by far prices will too expensive for a casual fan to go to when they can sit in a pub watching said teams..

Boreham Wood's certainly have, helped by the promotion of ourselves, St. Albans and Hemel - all three games had an attendance over 500. They also had a community day vs. Concord which drew in a crowd of 621. It's easy to laugh at their gates but I'm envious of their off the field success which has allowed them to be successful on the field.

Super_horns hits the nail on the head, the town is full of Arsenal and Spurs supporters.

Amazing story? I thought they were bankrolled?

Concord are about as un-bankrolled as you can get. The anti-Whitehawk. That's why they were so upset about the post-match hospitality at the Hive.

Good choice, glad to have you on board! I'd be happy with a season of consolidation, with a view to pushing on in 2016/17.

Jamie Turner, Mark Gower and Luke Rooney not offered new deals.

The cutting down the size of the squad starts now.... I hope.

Mark Gower  Such a shame, he was playing first team for Swansea in the championship a few years back. He wasn't great but didn't expect him to drop all the don to non-league in the space of a few years.

Gower was just another example of Day not being able to handle the pressure. Sign somebody of such high calibre, realise they're not fit and not play them only to tell the press he's here to "give advice to the younger lads".

Rooney looked willing but by all accounts his attitude was bad. If that's true then it would appear McMahon wants players who are here and up for the fight. Good to see.

Preston Edwards has come out and said he was looking to leave before Day got the sack which I already knew anyway as he told me. Day was looking to bring in a keeper from Gillingham despite having two quality keepers at this level. Also interesting to note, before Steve Brown got sacked - Edwards was set to sign for Nuneaton on loan!

Concord have been quick to replace Danny Cowley bringing in Adam Flanagan from Brentwood Town. I've got to say that is a superb appointment, ticks all the boxes.

Forgive my ignorance, but I have no idea who he is!

I hope they go down though.

We have three pre season friendlies arranged so far, all away. Billericay, Tonbridge Angels and Welling.

Reckon we will only have one home friendly.
