Tuesday night game, miles away AND in poor form. Nailed on loss here for us. In fact even without the poor form id still think this is a nailed on defeat. We just never seem to do well in games like this even though Newport aren't in the best of form themselves.

I think we did alright second half against Pompey so maybe start with the team that finished there. Unless either Smith or Doyle are back then I'd put them in over the 100 grand man Drury.

I especially don't want to see Whalley playing over Oduwa who looked bright when he came on and beat his man numerous times, if only he had a final ball (sort of counts for the whole team based on Saturday mind!). I don't think Whalley is anything more than an impact sub, that's when I've seen him play his best, rarely influences a game from the outset.

I also really don't want to see Cullen up front on his own, I don't think that has ever, or will ever work and is an absolute pointless waste of time for all involved.

I'd like to se Lee involved somehow though, maybe playing off Benson, that's probably a bit adventurous for us in a away game though.

As I said cant see us picking up any points here and could be out of the playoffs for the first time since September so nice and optimistic!

2-0 Newport.

Luton were doing superbly until the last month or so in their first season back in The Football League. With their current form i can't see them get anything from this either. 2-0 Newport. Whatever happens at the end of the season Luton can be proud of what they've done this season.

Agree 110% - especially with the limitations with injuries, its a miracle we've done this well.

Likewise agree. I was really only banking on a solid mid table finish so to be right up there for the majority of the season is a good achievement really.

Will be a touch disappointed if we don't get in the playoffs given we have been in them for ages but overall it would be a decent first season back in the league with a good nucleus of young players to build around for next year.

I have created an account purely to advise you Luton fans that based on our recent displays, sadly you have little to fear tomorrow :err:

We are really struggling at the moment - finding goals (or even creating chances) a real issue, coupled with the ever-present opportunity for a defensive howler/cheap concession from a set piece - a delightful combination. I would be staggered if we managed to score two tomorrow, on the other hand Luton do appear to be one of the few teams in worse form than us at present, so something has to give I guess.

I can't see Luton falling out of the play-offs personally - I am sure you will pick up again before the season ends (I was impressed with you in both games at Kenilworth Rd this season). And we have managed to inexplicably remain in touching distance despite taking only 8 points from the last 30, so I'm not totally sure a huge upturn in form is really needed for you to hang in there.

Brilliant, sounds like the hardy souls who make the trip are in for a cracker!

Judging by the above it will be won, if it as at all, on a mistake or a set piece.

If be alright with a point just to get something back on the board.

I agree with ''PortyPort''.
Apart from County's awful form of late (home moreso than away), we, like the Hatters, are missing several players.
Striker Chris Zebroski is out having appeared in court recently and may have played his final game for County, also out are Robbie Willmott, Miles Storey and Mark Byrne. Ex Hatters striker Aaron O'Connor is fit and will start but you have little to fear there as his form is poor of late.
I expect 600+ Hatters present though if this game was schedule two weeks back, there would have been nowhere near that number as the Synter Stand for away supporters was condemned but has been made safe since. Have a safe trip Hatters fans

O'Connor could have two broken legs and he'd still score against us. It is inevitable.

600+!!! I suspect you'll be very, very disappointed. I think it could easily be less than half of that given the Tuesday night factor and our horrendous away form.

Interesting team we've got out tonight. I'll be very interested to see how that lines up, could easily be one of three formations and several personnel variations possible therein.

Biggest positive is Whalley out of the squad - might be harsh to say it but I wouldn't be at all disappointed if that was the last we saw of him in a Luton shirt, he's just not good enough for the levels we are aspiring to. An impact sub at very, very best in League Two.

Urgh. I hate football sometimes.

Hit the post twice and sounds like yet another stonewall penalty turned down. Our luck is horrendous but as John Still is fond of saying, you make your own luck... 5 defeats in 6 tells it's own story.

It's nothing short of a miracle that we are still in the play-off places. No-one actually wants to go up this season do they? We'll drop out on Saturday almost certainly though, and our game at hand against Wycombe isn't exactly a banker!

Stills got serious work to do now because whatever we are doing at the moment, and I must admit I'm not entirely sure what that is, isn't working

Got some time now to sort things out for the Wycombe game, but I'm not confident.
