This is fucking mental... Like others i am always a bit skeptical with these sorts of takeovers, hopefully these guys aren't shady.

"They are definitely people who want to invest in football, otherwise they wouldn't be doing it. But they are also very interested in the redevelopment of the football club, hotel, conference centre and the land."

I really, really hope I'm just a miserable pessimist but I don't think there's a claxon loud enough for that sentence.

Well this makes interesting and sad reading for us. This is the company that were initially tasked with our redevelopment after a 12 m loan was given to us by the council. They are now in admin and owed a lot of people..

Where there is land redevelopment mentioned, just beware.

Progressing nicely. They've got a meeting with the council this week to discuss the redevelopment apparently

Hope all goes well. Foreign owners can either pump loads in and get team shooting up league or ruin clubs. Never seems to be a in between

9 times out of 10 these people have the best interest at heart, however, like Leyton Orient, Leeds and Blackburn Rovers the owner(s) haven't a clue about football and they employ people like Shebby Singh to affectively run the club. They end up employing people like Steve Kean as manager and signing Jordan Slew for £1.1m (Jordan now plays for us).

I hope they don't kill the club and all works out well for Northampton.

I've not heard a single rumour that was 'in the middle', they've all either been 'they're crooks run by a known fraudster' or 'they're multi-billionaires who want to spunk cash all over Sixfields'.

You pretty certain about it? Still pretty apprehensive about the whole thing. Hoping we get an update soon.

I didn't even know the meeting had taken place already! Thought the Borough may of released some sort of statement.

This stuff is always suspect. Why would a multi billionaire choose Northampton to spunk cash all over. Doesn't add up.

Well you never argued it as suspicious when it happened with your lot a while back.

I do agree though why a money man would want Northampton when they could aim for say Leeds, Coventry, Portsmouth with bigger bases to work on.

but then Bournemouth, Fulham, Wigan...........suppose it happens.

Report in our local rag suggest it will take at least another 4 weeks. Certainly not ideal, Wilder has stated that there will be no more comings or goings, got to assume its mainly because of this.

Also reported that we are looking at gettng temporary seating in the east stand while they decide the best way to go about rebuilding it.... tinpot!

Latest on the takeover here youtu.be/pIXoDK5XiE0 youtu.be/2ip4hcQ3aKE

The new owners are Indian but have been London based for some time. That narrows it down to a million people.

Was it the new Fulham owner that build the Michael Jackson statue or was that Al Fayed? Could see that fitting in well next to the lift tower.

Not content with owing the council £10 million by today, it appears our owner has decided to mess with the HMRC also. Winding up petition issued today.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34538252

There are no words really, so worried about what will happen now.
Mehh, Ron Martin collects winding up petitions, they are like a free month extension on paying money back owed to HMRC. Understandably first one is quite worrying whenever we get one now I just assume that the money was needed elsewhere months before but I never think it won't be paid.

I feel your pain! We had years of this shite with the Count in charge as well as afterwards when the new owners realised what they had gotten themselves into. Fortunately we have our saviour. Hope you have the same fortune.
