It is with some trepidation that I travel to Carrow Road tomorrow. A heavy defeat could be on the cards for the lads from the second city. Lee Clark's team come into this one on the back of a disappointing 2-0 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday. Despite a combative and committed first half performance Blues ran out of steam around the hour mark and goals from Stevie May and Jeremy Helan gave the Owls a deserved victory. Norwich's last outing was a 3-0 win over Brentford and the Canaries are flying high sitting in second place in the early Championship table. Former Birmingham striker Cameron Jerome bagged a brace with Alex Tettey netting the other in an impressive display from the promotion favourites.

The presence of Jerome and Birmingham academy graduate Nathan Redmond in the opposition line up adds a little extra spice to the fixture and this will be the first time either has faced their former employer. Redmond's departure was a bitter blow to the midlands side with many fans feeling that their prized asset was sold on the cheap but in truth most were glad to see the back of the inconsistent Jerome.

If Brum are going to get anything out of this they're going to have to set up in compact shape as they'll be expecting to soak up a lot of pressure from the home side. For this reason I think its likely that Clark will start in a 4-5-1 with the wide players expected to get forward to support the lone striker at every opportunity.

Birmingham probable line up: 4-5-1 Randolph-Spector, Robinson, Edgar, Grounds-,Cotterill, Gleeson, Davis, Caddis, Gray-, Thomas

Norwich used a 4-4-2 formation at Griffin Park in midweek and would be likely to use the same system again for a game they'll be expecting to win comfortably.

Norwich probable line up: 4-4-2 Ruddy-Whittaker, Hooiveld, Turner, Olsson-,Redmond, Tettey, Hoolahan, Johnson-,Jerome, Grabban

Try as i might I cant make a case for Birmingham to take anything from this match. The St. Andrews outfit look low on confidence at the moment whereas the Canaries are finding the net with regularity at present scoring seven in their last two fixtures. Prediction 3-0 Norwich

Cracking result for the Blues this - surely? Norwich will end up in the top 3 or 4 this season so a point away from home against them is going to be a good one I think!

Great result for Blues – I think everybody expected a relatively comfortable Norwich win. Also does Wolves a little favour if we have real promotion aspirations!
