Great second half. Good tactical move to get Redmond off the wing. He's been much better since Howson replaced him on the right.

3-1 - Jerome's 20th of the season, and it's done.

Great ball in the build up by Nathan Redmond.

Mings denies Redmond from him 2nd, and Norwich's 4th.

Very tidy player is Mings.

Another brilliant pass by Redmond. MOTM. This guy really shouldn't be playing on the wing. Ever.

Berra has been clumsy all season imo (although not all town fans see it, just blaming Smith) so it was bound to be him that let us down! Up to that point we gave as good as we got!

A bit embarrassing from Norwich fans to be singing just too good for you when we're a man down! If they play like that, Boro will win easily!

We go again though, another good chance next season for us I think! Can only be proud of this team, Mick has really turned us round!

Looking forward to a Wembley day out in just over a weeks time

The first half was hopeless, but the second half just shows what we can do when we apply ourselves with a bit of intensity and drive going forward.

I just can't call the final. Boro have had our number this season, but it's whoever turns up and performs on the day. Just glad to be there anyway.

 No. It shows what you can do when the opposition is a man light.

You're deserved finalists. But you didn't up your game second half, we lost a man and that told in the end.

No complaints. See you next season.

Bizarre comment. Redmond has been most effective for England U21's playing wide-right and he was equally dangerous for Birmingham playing on the left. He is definitely a winger and for all his undoubted potential he should be played in his favoured position.

We came out of the blocks quickly, and only a blatant handball on the line stopped us going 1-0 up whilst you still had 11-men on the field!

If that goes in properly without Berra deciding to become goalkeeper for a moment, I'm confident we carry on and win that tie against 11-men.

If that's what you need to make you believe for Wembley, I'll let you off. You were second best before that and would have been post, it will be justly Championship football next season for NCFC, quote me!

Shame the red card pretty much ended the game but Norwich did play well 2nd half.

While this is all very well and good, Redmond couldn't beat Mings once over the two legs and I seem to recall him having the same problem every time he came up against a decent full-back. As soon as he was playing more centrally he became much more decisive in his passing. After all he did bring the penalty and score the second goal from non-wide positions.

I prefer Redmond behind the striker. His decision making seems to be better in the centre. Too many times he makes the wrong decision when on the wing. He has the potential to be a top player but he is very frustrating.

Wembley ticket purchased. £76 plus booking fee. Not a cheap day out, is it!

Worth it though to see Norwich at Wembley. Amazed it's been so long really. Been alive nearly 29 years and it's never happened in my lifetime!

A mate got mine. There's five of us who want to sit together, so he's got our season ticket/customer numbers and did it all from his account.

He always seems to get in quick on these online things where people have to queue. Dunno how he does it.

I'm loath to back up a binner but his reasoning for you being wrong is flawed. It's not tinpot because tinpot clubs do it all the time... wut?

Personally don't understand why you'd want to pitch invade before you've actually won anything but it seems earning a trip to Wembley is considered enough of an achievement to do it (not just for lower league clubs, look at Aston Villa fans' pitch invasion after winning a quarter-final!)
So are Norwich City now added to the list of "tinpot clubs" then? Devils advocate.....

Thought first half was shite and the game hinged on the penalty/red call which the Ipswich defender basically had a moment of red mist. After that Norwich were always in control. Cracking win, great atmosphere. I'll be joining my wife at Wembley for this one. :)

A weight has been lifted. Two weeks of torture, feel so much better now.

You were second best before that and would have been post, it will be justly Championship football next season for NCFC

You had a lot of the ball in the first half but like us at Portman Road, didn't do anything with it. Can't recall Ruddy having a save to make in the first half. Pressed us, chased everything, first to every loose ball, but zero quality in the final third. Obviously we'll never know but I very much doubt you'd have been able to keep up that intensity for the full 90 minutes, even with 11 men. Felt you were capable of scoring because we just can't deal with high balls (Russ in particular struggles - no surprise given he's actually a full-back) and that's pretty much all you do. Always felt for us that the longer the game went on, you'd tire and we'd eventually break through.

First half was very poor. Neither side looked like scoring at all. Second half exploded into life. We came out so much stronger, I know it was only about 3 minutes before the penalty but we looked more up for it in those minutes than the preceding 135. Having 10 men is only an excuse if the sending off is wrong or very harsh, it was neither. Blatant handball on the line.

Don't know what will happen in the final but it seems like you're saying it'd be an injustice if we went up. May have misunderstood you though. Going to be a tough game, no doubt about it but in a one-off game, it's anybodies. When we got thumped at Middlesbrough, our best defender was out on loan to Watford (genius decision). Hard to judge the game at Carrow Road. They started strongly and although their goal was deserved, it was somewhat fortunate. After that they just parked the bus and put all their effort into time-wasting. Somehow I can't see them using the same tactics at Wembley. Not saying we will win - just that it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

A bit embarrassing from Norwich fans to be singing just too good for you when we're a man down!

Football fans in general are cringe-worthy as fuck but Norwich fans take it to a whole new level. Seem to leave every game disappointed in our fans. Not just things like what you've mentioned - lets face it, every set of fans embarrass themselves with shit like that. See fans signing stuff like how they're by far the greatest team the world has ever seen (something Town fans were guilty of today). No, for me the biggest crime is what our fans have done to "On The Ball, City". It has the potential to be great when it's sung but for some reason people seem to think it's a competition to see who can sing it the quickest and most wrong. Not only do they rush through it but they also omit words completely. Drives me mad. Pretty much over before it starts. They seem to adopt this approach for most things as well, sing as quick as you can instead of together. Also you have one block singing one thing, another singing something else and so on, just sounds so messy and obviously isn't anywhere near as loud as it could be. So frustrating.

Norwich have always been tinpot. They've given out clap banners (not today, thank fuck) at games for crying out loud. Provided flags today. I mean, come on, seriously? God, I'm such a boring c***.

Still don't get pitch invasions when you've not won anything. Think you look incredibly stupid when/if you go on to lose the final.

Our fans also try to speed up songs for some reason! Completely ruins the atmosphere!
One song that drives me crazy is the song we stole from Derby. "20 is plenty, 40 is naughty, Delia's a f*cking arsehole!". This is all to do with prices and Town fans seem to bypass the fact we charge as much as you do, and we actually charged more for the playoffs by a long way! Simply because it slates Delia they sing it.

Worst thing about fans who sing that one is that they've paid for a ticket in the first place. I'm sure McNally and the money-men at clubs everywhere are well bothered by fans singing songs at them. A shame that boycotts are never successful. Near-empty stands would send a much bigger message than a few tacky songs.

If you wait until Wednesday there's every chance the tickets remaining will be the ones up in the clouds.

I wanted and got a Category 2 ticket, and we're front row of the middle tier, just behind the goal :)

I'm just to the side of the goal in row 2. Now just have to hope my mates who are not sths or members get tickets relatively close (or get tickets at all or I have a lonely coach journey!)

It's been sung for decades, for every fan your team is the greatest, it doesn't mean literally they are the greatest team in the world.:bg::bg::bg:

The other cringe-worthy part of today was before the game, the bloke over the tannoy shouted "Lets show we're not just the greatest fans in East Anglia but the best in the World" :ffs:

Absolutely no injustice, the red card was obviously the right call - I'm just suggesting it threw the game and refuse to accept that you'd have had a significant edge in the second half if we had stayed with 11 men just a goal down.

Nevertheless, we rightly went down to 10 men and you deserved to go through after that.
