If Che Adams scores I'll chuck myself head-first into the Trent.

We'll lose this comfortably. Although our record against Sheff Utd isn't the worst and there's no Harry Maguire to score his obligatory goal either - remember when we beat them last season with Showunmi and Fotheringham scoring?! :fl: - I'd be embarrassed if that happened to my powerleague team.

I'll remember this, in fact I'm bookmarking it.

I expect video evidence if this happens too.

How do I put up video evidence if my lifeless corpse is being retrieved by police divers half a mile down the river?

I wouldn't be able to take it, it'd be like raising a child only for them to grow up and spit in your face and rob you.

I've had mates who played for Ilkeston in recent years so I knew about him ages ago obviously because they all raved about him being in the yoofs and training with the first-team, so I rather relentlessly hounded Notts in a one-man campaign to sign him (they could have got him for a nominal fee in the summer) - to me it was kind of like unearthing a gem but when he scored against Spurs and my Twitter mentions and phone went a bit mad I realised it was probably closer to a weird obsession with an 18 year old boy.

When he signed for Sheff Utd I was in a car crossing the Channel tunnel on the way to Belgium and I think I spent a solid 5 minutes having a rant telling Notts to fuck off and 'we'll never learn'.

The moral of the story is, as ever, listen to me.

So what you're saying is, it was actually your mates who realised he was decent and you are just piggybacking on their good judgement?

We'll probably lose, hopefully United's win at Bristol means Tues might be a bit of after the Lord Mayor's show? He says.

Don't they have a few injuries? JCR's reception will be 'interesting'

the perennially injured James Wallace. Ryan Flynn and Higdon also injured but unlikely either would start. Baxter also had to come off in the 1st half yesterday. So long as nobody else has picked up a nock it should just be Baxter out of our first 11 that's injured (arguably Flynn as well).

JCR will likely be on the bench. Don't know how he was for you but he's far better as an impact sub for us!?

Is Scougall out too blade?

I'll let others handle the JCR question

yeah, forgot about him. He probably would've played in Baxters place, he's been really off form this season tbf. Thinking about how we'll line up and I'm hoping Adams will come in for Baxter although Holt probably will as he came on for Baxter last game. Also possible JCR could come in with Coutts moving centrally, hope not though.

In our last 8 matches over the last 4 years weve won 4 drawn 3 and lost 1 so id say your record is pretty shite mate however none of that means fuck all does it ahead of tuesday

We have a new squad every year so I was talking more recently than 4 years. I meant a piss poor team beat you last year and a piss poor team got a draw at your place this year. You even struggled to beat us last season on opening day when we had 10 men for 81 minutes or whatever it was. We always seem to play better against you than the other 'big teams' in the division.

It would be pretty typical of Sheff Utd to slip up here after a quality result yesterday.

Although it was only 2-1 we absolutely battered you in that 1st game of the season which was our only win in something like our 1st 12 games we were piss poor ourselves last year when you beat us we were in the relegation zone. This year was a fair result if i remember rightly although you say your piss poor we havent exactly been outstanding have we that was our 1st away win yday for 3 months

My affliction with Sheffield United since going to uni up here continues and me and a couple of flatmates are going in the Blades end
Baxter and Murphy always stand out as United's star players for me

Personally think we miss JCR more than anyone else who left last summer. As poor as he was for 18 months, the last few months of last season he was absolutely brilliant.

As with Sheehan, though, deserves a shit reception after being a bellend at the end of last season.

You did, but we also had a man sent off after ten minutes or something and your winner only came from a wrongly awarded free kick. The signs were already there that both teams would be shit to be honest.
