Thing of the afternoon .... Armand having his dislocated finger popped back in - which was discernable from the other end of the pitch - and then carrying on :)

We weren't good but Notts County were abysmal.

Yessir. Decided to make the effort at 2pm, had Chessie on my accy too but Wolves let me down for £80 :(

Not sure I'll bother again anytime soon. It's all a bit dull, reckon we'll do something in the loan window. Just need to fuck off all these weird kids we've accried like Thomas and Woolery and give Murray a go, the guy whose actually proven he can be good at this level

Chesterfield, We're Fucking Shit and Conference North Bound!!
I had a sneaky bet on an away win and Lavery to score first.

Made me some spending money for this upcoming week. So along with the 3 points, I'm well happy tonight!!

County freefall it seems.

Just 5pts ahead of the dropzone is it? Odd after such a positive start.

Eight actually. Fitting a complete freak goal should settle such a game; did either keeper have a serious save to make? Particularly atrocious second half from ourselves, if that score line had been the other way around it would have been like the Alamo, yet if we go a goal down you know that is pretty much it. I've been going for 25 years though and it's always been that way.

We only need 15 points between now and May but at the moment they seem a long way off. Not starting Alan Smith would help - what a disappointment he has been.

Opposing the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre!!!!
I wouldn't say County were abysmal today, but they weren't impressive. We weren't much better until the second half. Weird goal, great atmosphere from the town fans.

Saddest part of the day - the kid who missed the penalty in the half-time mini-game was crying his eyes out after their game. Bless

Yeah, I thought doing a kids penalty shoot out in front of that many people was a bit mean :(

Maybe a golden goal would have been less harsh. Actually, a draw would have sufficed unless it was necessary to have a winner.

Just listened to an interview with Shaun Derry, he said 'I'm not going to label the blame at anyone's toes'. Never heard that before. Feel sorry for him, he sounded proper fed up

We're 5th and just as close to the top as we are to the bottom. The league is tight.

Hi Zeus, didn't know you'd made it over here.

They don't charge you to get in Hooters afaik, I've never been in on a Saturday afternoon though so...

Didn't know it was a site until the TFF Fantasy Premier League name changed to this URL.

Really? I feel sorry for you in that case then.
Literally not one other person has called us abysmal. We were good in the first half and poor in the second, that's it.

Those kids finals are shit. They basically play 40 minute games to get there and the final is a rushed 10 minute game at meadow lane that invariably ends 0-0.

How many have you asked precisely?

You are a very poor side and one of the worst sides I've seen this season.

Nah, we've been shit plenty of times this season, I said we were shit when we beat Crewe 3-0 a few months ago and got bashed for it. Level what you want at me but being an optimist and pretending our team are good when they aren't isn't really my style...

The old adage about winning when not at your best springs to mind.
Tairn looked like a side missing influential players and adjusting to new personnel.
Carnteh looked like a side bereft of confidence. The lad with the braids was occasionally handy, though.
We've got used to the home support at Meadow Lane being wishy-washy, but today they were anonymous. Not even a rendition of that 'wheelbarrow' thing.
Anyway, good day out and good result. Especially as we can do a great deal better.

Aye we didn't sing the Wheelbarra song today, bit weird. We were quite good for the first 20 minutes - acoustics though innit, say this to everyone. From the Kop you hear a really quiet 'you're supposed to be at home' then the away fans get home like 'fukkin mentul in tha away end, propa out sung the home fans!!!!'

They need to move the away fans to the Kop side if they want any sort of atmosphere. They once said they couldn't though, can't remember why, police recommendation or something - sounded bollocks to me.

i did just about hear our first 'Nottingham's a shithole' chant though, we rarely get that. Sacrilege really when you'd all just sampled the delights of our wonderful city and the various warm and friendly watering holes. Nottingham. A shithole? To that i say PAH! Although I am a bit middle-class Nottingham to be fair #desirablepostcode

I guess, we don't have a problem with Derbyshire though, that's a Forest thing. I'm not sure why we don't to be honest, probably because we're so used to hoping Derby finish above and beat Forest consistently.

Well if we're going to mention it I wasn't overly impressed with the noise from the away support, especially given the numbers. Only song I can remember hearing before everyone stood up with about ten seconds to go was that stupid Continental one, which just sounded like a drone. Couldn't even make out the words.

Anyway, that's a side issue, we need three points from somewhere, if only to placate the increasingly hysterical Notts Co mad.

Seems to be the case everywhere these days, infact there was some sort of lobbying not to sing it when visiting our Derbyshire neighbours the other week.

Fell on deaf ears, mind.

I guess Notts are struggling for real rivals to stir the passions; Forest simply don't care, there's absolutely no animosity on our part, and Mansfield...well, it's difficult to feel anything but amusement towards a handful of folk who go off like kids at Christmas just because they're playing you.

By the way, does middle class mean West Bridgford? Gamston? Mebbe even Radcliffe? Wow - thanks for the Council Tax.
