They really do. They 'want us to do well' but then when we got 'money' they absolutely shat themselves, utterly shit it that we might be good. They don't care about us more than any other team yet their fans ran on the pitch when they equalised against us in a league cup match. We've just been out of sight for too long really, a bit like Notts/Mansfield is getting. When I was a kid Notts/Mansfield was always a really great derby game, we'd fill each other's away ends and the games would always be proper mental. Yet we played them in the JPT this year and neither side could really be arsed purely because we've not been in the same division for ages now.

I don't think he can to be honest, which wouldn't be a huge problem because he clearly brings lots of other stuff to a side - but it makes the decision to have him so isolated a bit weird. Still, one of those that's kinda bounced up on him, not really one where it's come across and he's had time to think about it. I reckon we probably win the game if that goes in - don't think Chesterfield created anything that wasn't on the break, even a half chance.

That Gnanduillet is a proper proper donkey, can't remember the last time I saw an attacking player with so little footballing ability. Why he kept drifting deep and wide as if he was going to pick the ball up in those areas and do something I'll never know.

Anyway, that's a side issue, we need three points from somewhere, if only to placate the increasingly hysterical Notts Co mad.

Stumbled onto there late last night and fucking hell, that place is seriously seriously weird. I honestly can't even think of a justification for Derry's position being under threat, let alone genuinely believing he should be sacked. It's this bizarro world Notts fans live in.

Way I see it, we built a decent and effective side that then got dismantled in December when we lost 5 first team players in a week or so and we've tried to replace them (which in some cases like McLaughlin and Cassidy, shouldn't have been difficult) and we've failed by trying to get a bit too clever. The only thing that really concerns me at the minute is why perfectly capable players like Murray, Wroe and Traore can't get a look-in when you've got players like Thomas and Woolery playing who clearly aren't anywhere near League 1 standard. I sort of like the look of both but both look like players we should be loaning out rather than players we're loaning.

Went to the game, just glad to get the 3 points.
As far as my day, it was spoilt by Derbyshire and Notts Police. I got stopped outside a pub in the square, and got told that they'd been told to look out for the hat that I had on by spotters. Apparently it meant that I caused trouble home and away. I explained that I was a child care worker with no criminal record, who had never got in trouble in his life. However, I was told that if I didn't go along with their escort then they'd, 'say I kicked off, and have me arrested'. So I was told that I couldn't go to anymore pubs, and got frog marched to the ground. Safe to say that i'm writing a big email on the issue, doubt anything will come of it - they'll all cover each others backs. Really pissed me off.
As far as the game, it was very tight. Thought our play was better, however, Notts had the better chances due to some odd sloppy defending by us. Second half, I feel like you could sense which side was going for it - Not that Notts dropped back, but I don't feel like they'd have gone for it if it had been 0-0 with 10 minutes to go. The goal was unfortunate for Notts, but from a purely personal opinion, 30 seconds before, Carroll had gone rolling on the floor after no contact from Armand. So seeing it loop over his cheating little head made me smile even more.
Very proud of the 1,838 we brought, even with the extra expenditures this month.

It's just nuts. Clearly everything isn't rosy at the moment and we have some issues, but to genuinely call for the sacking of yet another manager, let alone one who completed a miracle escape last year and got us within five wins of safety by January this, after his first real bad run is mental.

Snap backs are ill fitting IMO. They seriously don't suit me.

I prefer the old fashioned traditional baseball cap, with the slightly bended peak.
